  • Ok so I'm no lore expert but I've been reading the lore for a while and there are these concepts that have been bothering for a while . As everyone knows our stories and adventures take place in Tamriel / Nirn ,all the games and the lore etc. Then I started reading about the deep lore stuff and learned about these kalphas = basiclly everything gets erased then started anew but some people( Redguards/Lefthanded elves/Hist etc ) manage to escape but generally speaking things change a lot . So my first problem is many people including me love TES as it is now,provinces/landscapes/races and if Alduin the Worldeater were to eat the current kalpha all the things we loved will be erased or changed to the point that wont be like the games I  love and  I absolutely hate that . Been reading the forums and it seems there are lots of people who are happy with our Tamriel basiclly ending so my first question is why do you want all these stories/characters to get erased, wouldnt u want to keep something that you like as long as you can ?

Another problem is about Chim/Amaranth, so everything is the dream of  Godhead , we're playing a game but even in the game its all fiction so whats the point of anything happening in the game then since none of it is real from the point Godhead? Chim is the realization of the dream but also saying I exist but would it be possible to make the dream more real? or completely real? All the people I talked so far ( they dont know the lore much ,wanted the opinion of average players ) dont want the universe to end nor do they wanna hear they're not real so I'm asking again, would it be possible to make the dream and everything happening in the dream a reality?

    • Well I don't have an answer for your last question, but I do kind of feel the same about the whole situation. Even though I've been playing the elder scrolls games since 2012, it wasn't until about a year ago that I learned about the concepts of CHIM and the godhead, and how everything is just a dream.

Not gonna lie, it was probably the most fascinating lore I've read in all of the elder scrolls, but at the same time I developed a very nihilistic perspective of the series. At that point I couldn't take most of the other lore seriously anymore.

    • The only 'evidence' I managed to find is ( and this might not be even true ) the word 'dream' may be a metaphor and Anu actually managed to create a reality while sleeping so its not like the dreams we have irl, but then Chim would contradict this , I mean do you realize you are a part of Anu or you are just fiction,if its just fiction all my deeds in Tamriel / all the history / wars  / lives of mortals pretty much mean nothing cuz its just fiction, they dont actually feel it ,theres no substance in a sense

what you said is true , I also felt theres a nihilistic perspective going on here, I just want Tamriel to feel more realistic and for it to matter since games and stories take place here .

I pretty much dont know how to cope with this but I might just focus on the mortal races and the stories on Tamriel and will try to ignore this Anu / dream ( we are not real ) stuff ,otherwise nothing matters .

    • Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'd say the creation story about Anu and the Godhead is open to interpretation.
