It’s me with a slightly late weekly update, which is full of news about lore you can find in The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor, so I hope you’ll enjoy it anyway!

Legends
- April 2020 Monthly Card is the Duneripper, a 5/4/3 Beast type card with two attributes: Strength and Agility. Every time it enters a lane, it deals 2 damage to an enemy creature in that lane and it also moves every time it Pilfers. Really useful with other cards that give lethal or destroy damaged creatures!
- Pauper Gauntlet has begun and will close at 12pm ET on Monday, May 4. You can only use common cards in your decks for the event. Clockwork Scorpion, Assembled Sanitizer and East Empire Crafter are blacklisted from the event, though.
Online
- Matt Firor announced that The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor will launch on May 26 for PC/Mac and June 9 for Xbox One/PlayStation 4. He reminds us all that ZOS has never released an update remotely and it does cause and will cause unforeseen problems and that we should remember the dates can change, but so far everything seems to go smoothly. PC EU server capacity has been increased, because now ESO has more players than ever since 2015. The developers are aware of the delayed input problem the game has been suffering from, especially in areas where many players are present at once, but it’s being looked into. Oh, almost forgot to mention this: you can already check Update 26 out at the Public Test Server.
- On May 1, there was an ESO Live, which you can watch here if you weren’t there during the live stream. Senior Systems Designer Michael Schroeder, Lead Gameplay Designer Rob Garrett and Combat Designer Nadav Pechthold together with Jessica Folsom and Gina Bruno from the community team showcased the Antiquities system and new Mystic items.
- An update on current plans to improve ESO’s performance was published. There’s a fix for the mentioned above problem with delayed input and it’s going to be in Update 26. “Note that until we move these fixes live, we can’t 100% be sure that this resolves the problem. Additional work may be required”, the developers say. Servers are holding up nicely despite increased numbers of players. Read the plans linked above to know all details and planned fixes.
- The Antiquities system looks like a great opportunity to research lore! The creators say that it will not only reward new, better Mystic level items, a Master Historian title and achievements, but also allow us to find bits of lore. They stated that some of it expands what is already known, and some of it provides new insight about gods, history and myths we didn’t know much about. First, the player need leads, which they can use if they have the Greymoor chapter and complete the first Antiquarians Circle quest. Then, the player searches for Antiquities with a special tool called Antiquarian’s Eye. That process is known as scrying and it can be made easier with a new Scrying Skill Line. After they find an area where the item may be, it’s time to excavate and use the Excavation Skill Line. That was a general description, so you should read this preview and this Basics Guide FAQ to fully understand the system.
- Russian localization is coming to ESO with Greymoor as a base update, so players don’t actually have to own the DLC. However, it will only be available to PC/Mac players and currently there are no plans to expand it to other platforms. Priviet, Russian players!
TES Wiki
- There has been no moot due to lack of topics to discuss and/or absence of users who were going to present their dopics.
- Some editing work worth mentioning this week (though it’s been quiet again):
- EmicalFire055 – Online categories
- ElderChicken – Blades data such as weapon damage stats
- Shrekzy – Online articles
- Nokillingpaarthurnax – Daggerfall articles
- Blademaster Jauffre – various pages, especially the Nine Divines edit
Wikia
- One Release Highlights for UCP and some sad news:
- Release Highlights - April 30, 2020: The One Without a Clever Name – two fixes: the Infobox Builder shouldn’t cause a loop when switching from Visual to Source mode now. Fandom is aware of the problem that when someone creates a new wiki at UCP, it resets the Founder’s preferences. They’re looking into it.
- Fandom Staffing Update – due to a difficult situation of companies that depend on advertising revenue and financial loss, all thanks to the current COVID-19 crisis, roughly 14% of Fandom’s workforce has been furloughed or laid off. We hope they are safe and okay, and that we will return to normal lives soon and get everyone back.
That appears to be all for this update. Have an enjoyable week wherever you are and whatever you're doing, and happy editing!
