  • I have completed the main questline for dawnguard after joining the vampiric court, however i cannot find a way to rid my inventory of the elder scrolls i attained. neither dexicon in the court nor urag from the college will buy them off me. Help Please?

    • I'm not sure how to get rid of them but I'm not sure why you would as despite saying they weigh a lot the game will never count weight from items you can't drop

        Loading editor
    • If you've got active quests from Urag, like getting Shalidor's Insights, or finding Arcana Restored, he might not bring up the option. Try completing those quests and talking to him afterwards. Not sure about Dexion.

    • sell the scroll dragon to urag at the collage of winterhold sell or give scrolls sun and blood to Dexion

    • wait you can sell the scores

    • yep

    • Urag only buys the Dragon Elder Scroll, but I read here in the wikia that if you complete the Dawnguard questline for the Volkihar Clan, Dexion will not buy the Blood and Sun Elder Scrolls.

    • Sell  Dragon to Urag. Remove Sun and Blood by console commands. Or just ignore them. They don't count any weight. I myself haven't try to figure it out whether they count carry weight or not, but I have seen similar questions before and many others said the scrolls don't count any carry weight at all.

    • If you're on PC and Dexion won't take them, you can also drop them with a console command. I spawned 3 boxes (the same as in which you find one of the scrolls in the Soul Cairn) in my house, in which I store the scrolls. Just in case they feature someday in another DLC or such.

    • you can sell the scrolls sun and blood to Dexion if you're apart of the dawnguard

    • sell them to the moth preist for 6000 gold (sun and blodd) if your dawn guard

    • What if you did the vampire quest line, how do you get rid of the scrolls then because i can't sell them to anybody.

    • I completed a play on both sides. For the Dawnguard side Dexion will either take or buy the Sun and Blood scrolls. For the Vampire side I was dissapointed to see the option does not appear. The scrolls do not take up any weight so that is not my concern, but Dexion paid I think in the 6000 range for the scrolls when a part of the Dawnguard. I play on X-Box so console commands was not an option.

    • on ps3 the elder scrolls do count as weight. 20 each adding up to a total of 60 pounds which is kind of annoying being as that is anough to carry another full suit of heavy armor. it is what it is though.

Yes, he will but, you have to join the Dawnguard side only. He will not buy it if you are a vamp.

Actually, I was helping my brother and we were able to sell the Dragon scroll to Urag even though he sided with the Vampires, he has only had problems with scrolls Sun and Blood

    • I'm not sure why people are saying if you side with the vampires Dexion won't buy the scrolls, I have the option, and I am a full on Vampire Lord with the entire questline done, he's my Thrall and after he told me how to get Auriels bow and I finished the ritual, I was able to talke to him and sell them for 6000 gold.

They are commenting on the vanilla game in 2013. You are posting in 2016, presumably about the Special Edition. Many quirks about gameplay don't transfer over to the new game, so most of these comment threads are pointless.

The weight is listed, but it is not factored into your total. I sold my Dragon scroll to Urag before I did the Dawnguard questline - I had to go back to him and pay double to get the scroll back so I could complete the story. I'm a low-stamina mage, so I am ALMOST ALWAYS at or near maximum weight capacity, I was able to pick up the scroll without being over encumbered, in fact I never became overencumbered by picking up any non-weapon quest item in the game.

Dexion wont buy it because he is a thrall and will probably never leave the court.

    • (For pc) You can drop the scrolls by typing player.drop (scroll id) without the parentheses then to delete them click on them (careful its the scroll or you might delete the ground) and type "markfordelete" and if you need the scolls again for whatever use the player.additem (itemid) command.

    • The option to sell the scrolls (sun and blood) to Dexion appeared to me a few dialogues under "the elder scrolls were usefull to me" or something like that, but only after I completed the quest to kill the leaders of Dawnguard. In my game I was able to re-sell the dragon scroll to Urag.

I WISH I knew the codes for those boxes. Would love to have them on display in my house.

    • The three Elder Scrolls are tagged as Quest Items. This means that although they have weight, it doesn't count towards the player's Carry Weight. You can confirm this throught emptying your entire inventory, leaving only the Quest Items. You will see that your Carry Weight will be showing "zero." But it you really want to get rid of them, here's how:

      - The "Dragon" scroll can be given to Urag gro-Shub at the College of Winterhold; if you find yourself in need of it again, you can buy it back from him once (if you are the Arch-Mage, you can pay half of what he asks for it);

      - The "Blood" and "Sun" scrolls can be either given or sold to Dexion Evicus after the Dawnguard questline is completed. This can only be done if you chose the Dawnguard faction instead of the Volkihar Clan.

Where is Dexion after the Dawnguard questline? I’ve run all over Ft dawnguard trying to find him. As to the weight , I added up the listed weights for all of my intems, and it only matches what the game displays if I include the weight of the scrolls. from this I conclude that the weight of the scrolls counts against encumberance.

    • If you side with any of them: College of Winterhold -> Urag gro-Shub (the librarian) -> You can sell Dragon Scroll.

If you side with Dawnguard: Dawnguard Fort -> Dexion (Moth Priest) -> You can sell Sun and Blood.

If you side with Vampires: Unfortunately, only console commands work player.removeitem XX011a13 1 (for Sun) player.removeitem XX0118f9 1 (for Blood) XX is usually 02 but for you it may be 01, 03 or 04.

    • Umm actually you can sale them to Dexion if you are a Vampire. I do not know how I did it but once I killed Harkon he asked to buy them and even now after i finished up all Vampire quests I can sale them to him.
