  • I finished the Companions main quest,  but I havn't been in Joorvaskar in a while. Well I just went inside and who did I see: SKJOR.

Skjor has come back from the dead 0.0

    • It's Skyrim Sorcery playing it's part once again.Or maybe necromancers slip off into Krev the Skinner chambers one day.I never had it,though.Skjor's ugly corpse continue there. The inhabitants of the dungeon have respanwed;even Krev has changed gender and race. But he is still there.Ever vigilant,a child of the moon.

    • i ended up seeing a trio of companions hunting sabre cats in the wastelands south of windhelm when i was walking closer to aela to ask her to follow me i saw skjors head coming out of the ground as if someone buried him in a sand hole at a beach kind of fun but i freed him by using unrelenting force and afterwards eing harbinger he just used generic dialogue not even acknowledging me as harbinger. id rather have the spectral Kodlak around jorvaskr than that creepy skjor. at times id even be in the mainhall and all he would do is stare at me and folloow my every movement with his head

    • The companions questline was the first thing I did when I made my character. I moved out of there and into proudspire after a while though. I came back, at level 46, full daedric armour and one handed at 100, to see Skjor. As soon as I saw him I  knew one thing: He had to die. It wouldn't fit having him around for no reason. I sneak-shot him with my daedric bow, and looted his corpse.

    • It has begun...

    • I wondered about this. I was just wandering around Skyrim when I saw a guy half buried in the ground. There was a mammoth nearby and when he attacked me I did my ice form shout. It did nothing to the mammoth but froze the body. When the body thawed out it got up out of the ground and walked off. It was Skjor, wearing only his skivvies since I'd looted his form previously. Later when I returned to Whiterun I saw hm in the Companions home in full armor.

    • It just happened to me today. I was looking for work (I'd completed the quest line and become Harbinger), and I went to the yard with the training. I saw Vilkas, Njada, Aela, Ria, and.....Skjor.

    • I finished a totem of hircine quest with Aela, and she said that she could feel Skjors spirit with us. Then I walked into Jorvaskar and there he was just hanging out. He gave me a quest. I yelled for Aela to look at him, but she didn't care.

This just prompted a really funny mental image of Aela dragging his carcass back to Jorvasskr and propping him up in a chair, hoping nobody will notice...

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

    • It seems like random encounters are the cause of the Companions coming back to life, if one of their encounters triggers the game brings back the bodys for it and (usually tries to) resurrect them.

I am not sure which is creepier... Skjor's head crawling around, or that glitch with the doctor being possessed in Fallout: New Vegas.

    • Actually, I figured this out. It's a morbid attempt by the Dawn Guard to get my dragonborn to join their rank and file. Knowing that the circle was battling The Silver Hand, the Dawn Guard quickly put two and two together and came up with 14. (No one said you had to be good at math to be a zealot. And don't ask the DG to play 'four square', they break out an abacus...)

They decided to try tricking my dragonborn by using guilt a priest of Talos would be proud of... Unfortunately for them, it backfired and motivated my dragonborn to become a vampire---until poor Adrianne was killed by one, thus forcing my char into the Dawn Guard.

Skyrim logic is rather circular, isn't it? Post

Edit: The word 'trick' apparently has an r in it... Sorry, I was speaking Nordic.

I think i'm gonna try and kill him.

It's not hard to kill him. Just use a high sneak/dagger attack combo and make sure the door to his room is closed. Catch him while he's sleeping and loot his silver bars for the win (and any Thieves Guild bedlam quests for Whiterun).

Though I hate to tell you, but I figured it out. It was a masterful and devious plan by Alea and Skjor--they upset the Silver Hand, who killed Kodlak so the two looked blameless, all in the name of Hircine.

Then maybe you could ...not look at it? I posted well over a year ago, and I still find this one of the most amusing threads. Not everyone has had Skyrim since it was released, and some are just now discovering the wide and wacky world of Tameriel (including Oblivion and Morrowind). Leave them be, let them dream about why Skjor might want to try usurping the Companions (while causing Kodlak to get bumped off in the process--which I still maintain is what happened).

This isn't a technical page. Maybe someone has an answer we haven't thought of yet. Maybe it's amusing. Maybe not. But in any event, your lack of a sense of humor does not denote that the rest of us share that same issue.

Wait, what??? How the heck did you kill Eurolund??? No, seirously. Can he die? I'm on my 6th playthrough and would have thought him an unkillable NPC.... I feel like I'm not worthy to bask in your NPC killing godhood presence now. I literally did the fabled Patrick Stewart triple take... Well done whomever you are.

    • The first thing I did on my current character was the Companion questline. Immediately after, I started Dawnguard and abandoned the beast blood in favor of vampyrism. I got from around level 10 to 56 and decided it was time to abandon vampyrism. The easiest way to do this is to return to Jorrvaskr and ask Aela for the beast blood again. Upon arriving to Jorrvaskr I promptly located Aela to find that the dialouge option I needed wasn't available. I investigated more to find Skjor and an unusual gem I'm almost certain I had already picked up... I have no idea what happened.

    • Best recommendation, find a previous save point from lvl 10. I know, I hate these bugs too. There's a way to cure yourself of vampirism, however. The mage in Morthal, Falion (Skyrim) , will require you to have a black soul gem (can't remember if it needs to be filled or not, but that's a simple enough task if you have a dagger/spell with Soul Trap (Skyrim). You'll have to meet him at the standing stone and he'll do the ritual.

is kodlak walking around naked because sometimes he does that or is that skjor that does it

    • This is confusing.  I don't recall whether Skjor was killed in the Silver Hand quest during my first game, but he was soon alive and well back in Jorrvaskr.  Now in the second, I finally eliminated the last of the enemies in the Silver Hand quest after about ten tries, and Aela found Skjor dead.  I assumed that I had killed him myself, mistaking him for an enemy, felt terrible about it, and decided to go back to an earlier save and postpone finishing the quest because I needed more potions and better skills.

I want Skjor alive because he gives the best radiant quests, sending you into dungeons you may have visited before but not for a long time.  If he is dead, who gives these quests?  If he is resurrected and goes back to normal in Jorrvaskr, I call it a good thing even if it is a bug.

If he is always found dead at the end of the Silver Hands quest, why doesn't the Wiki mention it during its description of the quest, so that we don't worry about it?

    • It's funny because it also happen to me. Outside - in the courtyard. Because it is so creepy that he's still alive, I have to kill him via console commands. Funny thing is everyone near the corpse will go closer including Whiterun Guards. It will have create a dialogue asking if you see anything or what happen? You can choose to say you didn't see anything or say you don't want to. If you choose the latter.. the guards will ask you to go be imprison or everyone will be hostile. Funny story.
