I grew to like Bersi more after one day walking into the shop before Bersi started maning the counter and overheard the conversation. It turns out his wife is a bit of bitty and spends a lot of his money on crap. When he confronts her she becomes defensive and is always complaining about him. She also once came on to me, "hello handsome, fancy meeting you around here", right in front of Bersi. Poor Bersi, I almost killed her for him but figured he might get mad and no longer sell me stuff.
Nah, I agree. Bersi's living in the wrong city for sure. Being ordered to break his prized possession and threaten to break his face was among the reasons why I decided I'd snuff every member of the Thieves Guild once the opportunity arose.

I never had to break his pot (it was some sort of a pot, wasn´t it lol?), anyways. If you first visit Haelga and Keraava, Bersi pays up willingly: "Oh no, you´re from Brynjolf´s outfit.." and bla bla: "Oh and look, I even have the money I owed you.." :)

Bethesda got lazy and instead of making a questline to destroy the Theives Guild and burn down Black Briar Meadary, they made like 20 ancient Nordic barrows that aren't even fun and are only accessible after you get a letter "from a friend" or talk to the grey beards.
