  • Amazon accidentally leaked this image which says Imperials will be playable in any alliance.

    • We know. But it will only happen for people who are willing to pay a few extra bucks.

    • I want to know their racial stats!

    • Yes, they should tell about Imperial Racial features and bonusses.

    • So you pay retail price, a 15 dollar sub, and don't have access to all races.  Complete fail.

    • They had 10 races, they needed to split them into 3 alliences, so they had to get rid of one. I can understand why you can't be an imperial especially since you will be fighting them the whole game. I do agree, i want to know their racial before i even think about buying the imperial pack.

    • The fact that they have made it so that I can play an Imperial is the sole reason I'm going to be playing this. If it had stayed the way it was, I would just write this off and continue waiting for the new Single Player TES games.

    • At first not being able to play Imperials was my only complaint of the game. But then they say can be with the special version and I was all "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

    • dont be hating. If your not willing to pay extra, dont complain. Just play with what you got. I dont see this as a big problem. Besides, all the other races are awesome!

    • Oh yeah~ Imperial version. Take my moneh~ XD

    • So according to teh description "the automatic ability to cosmetically craft items into the Imperial style." so you can have uber strong armor, then make it look like imperial armor? if so AWESOME

    • I'd like to clarify all of the Imperial stipulations.  The only real benefit of the Imperial Edition is that you get to start with a mount, which are pretty expensive in the current beta build.  As far as the Imperials and the Imperial cosmetic style, the developers have eluded to and heavily hinted that all players will be able to complete a questline and unlock the Imperial race.  The same thing pertains to the "any race on any alliance."  As far as the Imperial style, when crafting equipment, you have to select a style during creation.  Every race starts with their own style unlocked and can unlock other styles via books that can be looted from bookshelves; including all other races, Imperial, Ancient Elven and a couple others.

So if you don't want to drop the extra money on the Imperial Edition, you will be able to still play as an Imperial.  You'll just have to do a little bit more work.  I hope that helps!  :)

    • That'd be BS if all you have to do is a questline to be able to play as an Imperial, I think it should be only to the people who ordered the Imperial Edition.

    • I noticed that the Imperials can join any of the 3 factions... Aldmeri Imperial...

Heh so in retrospect they might have been better off calling it the horse pack and a slightly smaller font below it saying Imperials included.

Unrelated topic: Not sure about you guys but i don't really get the same feeling fighting enemies on TES online than i had in skyrim where it actually felt more real...well apart from a glitching bodies after i shoot someone off a chair.

    • Paying more for such a small change...

I thought this was The Elder Scrolls, not World of Warcraft

      Blame Zenimax, not Bethesda.

    • I say it's fine. It's 11 more dollars, if you have the cash to waste, go ahead and get it. If you don't want it, don't get it. I don't understand why people are throwing a fit over it. As of now, it is the ONLY paywall the game has. And it's not even required.

    • It's actually going to be free in march, can be bought in the crown store That's a new in game store with "customization and convenience items" for those of you that don't know

    • Hey newbie here!

Just asking cause since in the crown store it says you can buy the digital Imperial stuff.

So my question is that if you've already chosen a race, say example a Nord and then if you buy the in game Imperial dlc, does that mean you can change race or does it just means you get the horse, the pet, the rings and armour change?

Reason why I'm asking all this is that I wish to be a Imperial as I've checked them out but I don't want to buy all the stuff like the statue, the book and such if I can't help it or buy the digital online stuff if I can't change race to the imperial.

So if anyone can clarify all this for me then that would be great.

    • I don't think theres anyway to change race with an existing character you'd have to make a new one, i think you can have up to eight on one server or something like that.

Oh I see, so you can't change but can create different save profiles with a different race to start with. Thanks AzuraKnight.
