  • I have recently discovered a minor bug when collecting Orichalcum Ingots.

I looted one from a chest and it bacame a "quest item", so I was unable to drop it, craft it, or sell it. However, it showed having a value and weight of 0, so it never costed me inventory space. This is not so much of a complaint, but more of a confusing discovery.

I think it is a very rare bug, as it has only happened to me one time. Whether it happens with other types of ingots or not... I cannot say. I just thought that I would say something about this.

    • Confirming this, it happened to me as well. I was pretty confused.

    • It could be the ingot needed for the Hunt and Gather quest, which would mean it actually is a quest item and not a bug.

    • You were actually right, Frozenhero. It was a quest item. I thought it was a bug when it happened. As a side note, when I said I looted it from a chest, I really could not remember where I had collected it, so I just assumed I had retrieved it from a chest.

    • Im sure the one i had was for the quest but i never started the quest and obviously havnt finished it yet. However i was finially able to sell it to the blacksmith in whiterun on one of my random visits. I dont understand how that worked but it did. I no longer have that stupid ingot.  If this proves to be a bad thing I'll post an update.

    • Just don't start Hunter and Gather it looks like the ingot might be unique but miss named, so if you got rid of it you might not be able to finish the quest (or save first just in case and see what happens).

finding one of the items without the quest won't start it but apparently finding all three of her items will.

    • I think I'd just check the wiki.
