  • It's like the silence effect in oblivion! You don't need to speak to cast spells, and on here, it's not like you are exausted. It's the dragonborn!!! You should not have a cooldown in skyrim! it's not like you are a normal person. I know it's for the sake of not making things too easy, but give me an option, or at least a amulet, robe, lesser power! Or even a dadric quest!!!

    • Bethesda included the cooldown to prevent shouts from becoming OP, even though there are ways to reduce the Countdown to 0.

    • ^ really, how? i know the Talos necklace gives you decreased shout time but not reduced to zero....

    • I found the trick myself not that long ago and just saying; it still works even after the latest updates and expansions and all (if someone says otherwise, they just don´t do it right lol).

But I´m not sure if I could explain it correctly, so perhaps you should google/youtube it (or if someone else would  explain it)?! The idea basicly is to craft fortify restoration potions, drinking them and equipping/unequipping the Amulet of Talos - makes it to glitch so that the time between the shouts is reduced unlimitedly.

    • The "Fortify Restoration" loop bug was fixed in the latest patch and can't be exploited. As mentioned, the cooldown was done to prevent people abusing shouts (I tried to persistently use Whirlwind Sprint using the console and the game crashed to the desktop).

    • That exactly I meant, I´m on ps3, having all the expansion and latest patches, and yet this glitch indeed works. Unless they haven´t released any patches after Christmas when I last used it :p

    • I shouldn't have to do that hunting. What if I am a mage that focused all his energy into actually spells, not enchanting or alchemy.

    • the reason shouts have a cooldown for the dragonborn a because he has: Fin Kopraan Do Aan Joor (The body of a mortal)` and that hinders him

      `(That is dragon for)

(i got the translation from this website)

    • Even Tiber Septim (another Dragonborn) had his limits. He actually fucked up his throat by shouting.

    • Rukathesoldier i belive you mean messed up his throat there is enough cussing in the world no need to add more e.g. if a kid that likes to watch a family member play skyrim reads this

    • Tiber Septim lost the ability to shout from surving having his throat slit by a High Rock nightblade, not by over shouting. This comes from the Tiber Septim page on this site.

Honest question here. How many kids don't already know that cuss word.

Yeah, because Skyrim is a perfect game for kids...Sheesh.

I bet you're like one of those nutjobs who gets upset by the language used in GTA and similar "becase a kid might hear it". As if a kid should even be allowed in the same room as someone who plays GTA, or Skyrim.
