  • At the moment, my character has 102693 Gold, and Sorine has 48487. The reason she has all this gold is because I used her to train me in archery. I made it a goal to get as much as I can back, because, for whatever reason, I'm a gold hoarder. I have a bunch of random stuff I've been trying to sell her ,(enchanted weapons, questline rewards, and I've even found the Doors of Oblivion glitch recently,) but I noticed that neither of our gold were increasing/decreasing, and are stuck at the same numbers mentioned before. I've tried reloading the game, reloading the save file, and I've been stuck having a bunch of stuff to sell her, but no way of getting gold from it. I don't think I hit a gold cap because I can barter and obtain money from other merchants and from looting things.

    • No clue, I don't think you need more.

    • Oh crap, this reminds of an extremely similar glitch I had in Fallout: New Vegas with many of the merchants, (especially the travelling ones)...

I have no idea how one would rectify this problem in this game.  Personally, in fact, I would never even allow a merchant to acquire THAT much of my gold... perhaps that's how to prevent this problem from happening...

It's been exacly 6 months since you posted this problem and I am posting this response, I hope you found a way around it since then...

Seriously though, Archery's kindof easy to increase on your own, without paying for training... just takes time, like all good things... and good aim.

    • Skyrim and New Vegas merchants will break if they hit 30k gold their programing just can't handle that amount it should be fixed by letting their inventory reset or doing it yourself with console commands (maybe stealing the gold but i'm not sure about that).

    • Want some magic? Okay, did you know that if you Fus Roh Dah a trainer down (such as Niruin after joining the Guild) you can flawlessly pickpocket from them, even if it says there is no chance. This works for my PS3, not sure about others, though. Good luck! (It helps if they let you attack them.)
