I mostly take a random piece of food and try to snipe it from a place far enough. (I once sniped a tomato on a lantern near the warmaidens while standing on top of dragonsreach.)
How do you practice sniping?

Also, practicing headshots is pointless as shooting an enemy in the head doesn't register as being any different than shooting them in the leg.
I know.
Moving targets are allways good to use.
I use a trigger on the PS3 and on PC.
I usually practice on the chained signs like the one outside The Drunken Huntsman that ones also good for boxing. Sometimes after i've saved (to avoid mess) i'll shot bottles and things off inn tables while avoiding hitting the patrons. Don't forget the quest that Ruka pointed out thats all about archery training called Composure, Speed, and Precision.
I didnt really mean to increase the skill archery but the targets are fun to do.

Those are great ideas. Btw try hitting a potato in a bucket without hitting and moving the bucket with one of your arrows.
Torchbugs. Easy to see, hard to hit and move. Best aiming trainer!
I just place some kind of food or object of low value up on a high place and try to shoot it off, but my brother has a rather cruel way of doin it. He takes his least favorite follower up to some place high and makes them wait there. He then saves his game and goes somewhere lower, or makes them wait at a low place and o up higher, and he gets out his strongest bow and arrows, and he tries to get it right on their head, or the center of their chest. He gets "extra points" if he gets them on the face... He doesn't even heal them afterwards. Once he even left his follower there and basically used him for target practice. So cruel...
Good point. But knowing my brother, we can never be sure he might revert to shooting real people....
