  • I used the console command PSB to learn all of the spells, shouts, powers, etc., on an account I've used for quite a while. I wanted to undo this, since it didn't feel right to play an entire game on cheater mode, so I re-entered PSB. Now whenever I attempt to open my magic page, the game crashes. I can't seem to find any way to undo this crashing, even when I enter it again, to make all of the magic options return. I would normally go to a save where I hadn't already entered the command, but I constantly delete old saves, and I don't have one left where I haven't already entered the command. Has anyone experienced this problem, or does anyone know a way to fix this? Your thoughts on the matter, and helpful comments on the matter, are much appreciated.

    • You might try looking for the backup save file in My Documents/My Games/Skyrim and look for a file that ends in .bak

That might contain a backup prior to the PSB fiasco.

If you do find it, copy the file (to preserve the backup) and change the copied .bak file to .ess

Start Skyrim and see if that file saved your life! Good luck, and be more careful when using console commands in the future.

    • Like 70.170 said if your using commands like that especially PSB (it causes a crash for almost everyone) you need a save to go back to, if you can't find a back up you could try this as a last resort make sure to read the description and read me file.

Oh I never knew that existed, I never did the PSB, but I do have a problem with a modded potion that was for waterwalking, now it is permanent, and I can't get it to wear off. Is there a mod like that that can reverse my problem that you know of? I have been looking for a month, no joy. I don't have a save either before I used this potion, I deleted it, and it was so early on, I may as well start a new game if I can't rif myself of the effect. Thanks in advance to any who can help with this

    • You don't need to post a question on several threads just pick one (if it's already about a very similar problem) or make your own thread.

    • Console command "dispellallspells" is supposed to work. Ive only had to use it once, and it did fine for me. But that was for a different problem.

    • Does psb work for modded spells.?

    • The command dispellallspells removes temporary spell effects i don't think it removes actual spells. Don't use PSB.
