So, basically I was wondering if anyone else had ever been able to get extra dialogue options with Ulfric where he talks about his training with the Greybeards, and specifically mentions Arngeir and refers to you as Dragonborn? If I recall correctly, I believe he also says something along the lines of how the Greybeards philosophy is good in principle, but he found he was not able to stick to it when he was removed from the tranquility of High Hrothgar.
I have no idea how I did it, but on one of my earlier playthroughs, there were new dialogue options with Ulfric when I spoke to him, otherwise normally, in the palace in Windhelm. In all subsequent playthroughs, however, I have been unable to get this dialogue with him. I would reload my save from that playthrough, but it was on a different console, which I no longer have. I know that I was playing a Nord, and I'm pretty sure that it occured before I even picked a side in the Civil War (however, I think I may have followed Hadvar at Helgen) and, if I recall correctly, I also don't think I had even started the Elder Knowledge quest from the Main Questline.
I have been looking all over the place, googling, searching this wiki, etc, but have not yet been able to find anything about this dialogue, or a transcript of it. I'm really starting to wonder if I am just imagining this. So, has anyone else been able to trigger this dialogue with him? And if so, do you know what, if any, prerequisites exist in order to trigger it?
