Hi all, Atvelonis here. Another pretty breezy week, and this time the update is actually here on time! How punctual of me. Oh, and this week we actually had a moot… finally! Anyway, let's get to it.
- ゆ (UAM) has finally returned to us, and is planning on expanding our The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey content some more. Best of luck to him, and anyone who has the game should help out!
- We're planning on removing the automatic leads that mistakenly appear alongside some infoboxes such as {{SkyrimQuests}} via NumidiumBot, since they only cause formatting problems on articles and were created out of laziness in the first place.
- The Rim of the Sky is currently gathering information from both The Elder Scrolls: Legends and The Elder Scrolls Online: Dark Brotherhood, so expect more content from both of those games to be added in the near future.
- For all you PC hardware junkies, Nvidia announced its newest graphics cards, the GTX 1080 ($599) and the GTX 1070 ($379) will be released on May 27th and June 14th, respectively. According to Nvidia, both cards outperform the Titan X ($1000) by a long shot, although it's probably best to wait until benchmarks come out before getting too hyped (plus, AMD is releasing new GPUs this summer). Check out this link for more info.
- Strictly speaking this isn't related to TES, but tomorrow (Sunday) is Mother's Day, so be a good lad and get your mom some flowers and take her out to dinner. She'll appreciate it.
Moot
We actually had a moot today! Yeah, I was surprised too.
- We decided formally that the interwiki links at the bottom of articles should have a small notice above them to signify their purpose: <!--Interwiki links-->. It isn't visible to readers, and only serves as a marker for editors so that they aren't accidentally removed.
- We also decided that we would stop using links in quotes, as they can be slightly distracting and frequently place an undue amount of emphasis on a specific word or two in a quote, making it harder to understand the broader meaning of the quote.
- The Crusader of Truth suggested that we revive the Black Horse Courier, which is a formerly abandoned archive of old wiki and TES announcements. We agreed to do so, and he has since been working on updating it.
That's about all for this week, folks. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, and as always, happy editing! —Atvelonis (talk) 02:40, May 8, 2016 (UTC)
