So, I know that this may be an odd question, but is there a creature with a Black Soul you could abosorb? If not, then why even have Black Soul Gems? Please reply.

Black souls are obtained by adding the soul trap effect to an npc via enchantment or spell and then killing said npc before the effect times out. When the npc dies, its soul will fill your black soul gem. To clarify, npcs are any living ai of a race you as a plauer can choose at character creation( high elf aka altmer, dark elf aka dunmer, wood elf aka bosmer, orc aka orcimer, breton aka manmeri, nord, imperial, redguard, kajiit or argonian). With dawnguard, this may also include the snow elf arch curate vurther(knight paladin gelebor's brother) but i'm not sure. Black souls are equivalentto grandsouls for the purposes of refilling enchanted weapons and creating new enchantments on unenchanted weapons/armor. I suggest you reserve the soul trapping of npcs for hostile, generic, unnamed npcs like bandits, forsworn, vampires/ thralls, reavers, necromancers, and the like so you dont loose out on possible quest givers or vendors. Exceptions MAY occuring when a quest you are on requires you to kill one or more named npcs. Hope this helps.
Forgot to mention, in a sense it is the easiest way to obtain grand level souls for the above purposes, although getting generic black soul gems in quantity is probably more difficult than getting other soul gems. Grand/black souls are better than so called greater, common, lesser or petty souls( better enchants and recharge weapons more fully). You can get grand souls from mammoths, but if your character is low level you may experience great difficulty surviving a combat oriented encounter with them, especially when they are being herded giants(greater souls) who can often one hit kill low level players right through their armor with a powerful swing from their clubs. Something of note is if you obtain the repaired black star(infinite black soulgem that doesnt break when used) and kill all your enemies with soul trap enchanted weapons you can immediately is the trapped soul to refill the weapon thus raising your enchating level. The amount of xp gained is based on the size of soul used(unlike enchanting items which offers a somewhat higher and fixed amount of xp no matter what size soul you use). A lot of people really dislike the generally grindy nature of raising crafting skills with enchanting being far worse than alchemy and smithing due to the way the arcane enchanter user interface works compared to those of the other 2 skills). Empty and filled soul gems for creating enchantments can also be quite expensive, especially in the early game when you may have little in the way of speech skill/perks or pieces of gear to improve buying/selling prices. While it takes more "kill and fills" to raise enchanting than actually enchanting stuff, this can be partially mitigated by activating the mage stone(if you are otherwise using another stone) or to a lesser extent the lover stone north of markarth. With kill and fill, you will probably save money and have more fun depending on your desired play style. While you can sell your custom enchants to get money back, the best sources of soul gems( court mages and winterhold college instructors) dont buy weapons( the more pofitable enchantment type) and only jewelry( less profitable enchantment types, especially early on) until you get a certain perk at 50 speech. They wont buy armor till then either. You could sell weapons to smiths and general goods merchants, but u wont be able to get the gold spent on soul gems till you raise speech high enough for the perk.
I already learned that there are no *Black Souls*, just black soul gems that can store human souls (which are *Black Souls*, but instead register as Grand Souls).
