  • I just found out that I'm trapped in Raven Rock Mine with Zahkriisos right in front of me during the quest The Final Descent. I'm a lowly level 25 Nord thief kind of player, not really good in the Chitin light armor which I'm wearing. Any tips on how to kill this guy?

    • Using shock spells allows you to draw out his Magicka, so you can fight him easier. Using the shout Marked for Death also helps out a ton.

You're not necessarily trapped though; you can go to the back, pull the lever, and slip out before he kills you if you move fast enough.

    • Crusader, the shout is Marked For Death, i have had trouble finding the words though

    • Go after him when you have a high weapon skill. You will have a lot of trouble killing him as a mage. Get rid of the high seeker quick. Use some magic resistant armour. And use a high damage weapon.

    • When you enter the chamber, sneak to the left and hide behind the fallen pillar. Shoot him with arrows. He will look around but will not find you, generally, and then return to his original postion. (Save frequently because he will evenutally find you) Repeat this until he is very low on health, then finish him!

    • Drink a potion of waterwalking, and power attack so he's staggered and can't cadt ebony flesh. If you have any summons, use them. If you have ice form/paralysis, use it.

    • By level 25 you should have already acquired Merhune's Dagger. Do what thieves are good at. Backstab out of sneak for a critical one-hit kill.

To re-enchant, go into your inventory and find the item. You'll be given the option to re-enchant (on the Xbox360, it's the right bumper I think).

Not true. You cannot re-enchant items without the use of mods. You can disenchant and charge said items but nothing else.

Edit: Misunderstood your comment, thought you were implying you could replace existing enchants. My bad.

    • This sort of takes the fun out of theboss fight but oh well. What you can do is use the newly found bloodskal blade and dash the chest right in front of where Zahkriisos spawns. Crouch down and dont hug the chest he'll zap in you in the noggin' so take a few steps back. When you have enough stamina simply stand up and hit him the Bloodskal Blade's ranged attack and quickly crouch back down. I did this at level 10 on expert so dont say you have too low or hes too hard or my strategy does not work.

if you can sneak up behind a dood literally laying down under water at the bottom of a pool then you are the true dragonborn

Technically it's possible if you have waterwalking active. But if you get close to Zahkriisos, sneak or not, he'll wake up.

    • It seems you REALLY can do with a CRAPLOAD of assistance from magical sources:

Dawnguard: The Aetherial Crown allows you to have 2 standing stones simultaenously. Complete Lost to the Ages and choose that. Get the Atronach Stone and Apprentice Stone BEFORE meeting the DP.  You will receive +100% Magicka regeneration, 50 extra Points of Magicka and 50% spell absorb simultaenously.

Otar's mad guardians: This DP will drop a mask that confers 30% shock immunity. Make sure you complete this quest. Arguably the BEST helmet out of the others.

College of Winterhold: Completing this questline will reward you with the Archmage Robes, which fortifies all schools of mana and increases mana regen in addition to mana reserve.

If you have Krosis mask from Shearpoint, your Archery is fortified 30%, so try that.

Nahkriin and Vokun also drop masks that fortify various mana schools (the former increases mana reserve and allows costs for Conjuration, Destruction to be 20% less; the latter allows costs for Illusion, Alteration and Restoration to be 20% less)

However, the penultimate mask from Skyrim, Konahrik, will trigger a Flame Cloak for 60 seconds, recovering your HP while damaging enemies, and also randomly spawns a Dragon Priest ally.

Don't forget the Lord Stone (25% magic resistance), the Sun Stone ("A 100 point fiery explosion centered on the caster. Does more damage to closer targets."),  WInd Stone ('"Targets take 20 points of frost damage for 10 seconds, plus Stamina damage.") and Tree stone ("Spells temporarily cost 75% less magicka.")

Powerlevel Conjuration and max it out to summon 2 Atronachs, zombies or other entities.

      In summary:

      • Archmage robes and Otar's mask OR the Aetherial crown with Apprentice and Atronach stones
      • Conjuration @ lvl 100, to summon 2 Storm Atronachs
      • If you have completed the main Dragonborn quests, the All-maker Stones can be used IN ADDITION to the standard Standing stones from Skyrim
