The Time Wound is a possible Dragon Break[1] in which an Elder Scroll was used to banish Alduin into the future. It was created by the first followers of the Voice: Hakon, Gormlaith, and Felldir. The Time Wound is located at the Throat of the World. The Dragonborn experiences it during "Alduin's Bane" by using the Elder Scroll that was used to banish Alduin[1] to learn the Shout Dragonrend.[2]
Background[]
During the Dragon War, the three rebel leaders known as Hakon One-Eye, Gormlaith Golden-Hilt, and Felldir the Old aimed to defeat Alduin in battle. Having slain many of Alduin's kin, they were confident in their abilities to defeat the World-Eater. When Alduin arrived, they used the power of Dragonrend to cast Alduin to the ground, but were ultimately unable to defeat him. Felldir the Old decided to instead use the power of an Elder Scroll to banish Alduin.[2] Alduin's banishment by the Elder Scroll has shattered time, and resulted in the formation of the Time Wound.[1]
