Tysnal, Who Was Twice Named, was a Nede warrior. He was one of the Five Hundred Companions. Tysnal also had a twin brother, Terr.

Tysnal was said to be among the fiercest of Five Hundred. He was a crewmember of Jorrvaskr, commanded by Jeek of the River.

After reaching Mereth and reclaiming Saarthal, Tysnal and his crew went south to the area that is now known as Whiterun Hold. They settled there, making Tysnal and his brother to be among the first people who lived in Whiterun.
