Unfinished Business is a quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Vilena Donton sends the Hero to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol. He tells them that a rather undependable Guildmate named Maglir has defaulted on a contract to recover a journal from a mine infested with undead. The Hero must locate Maglir and find out why he has not returned to Chorrol.

Skingrad[]
After talking to Modryn, the Hero must locate Maglir, who is in Skingrad, and ask him why he defaulted. Asking people around Skingrad will reveal that he is at the West Weald Inn. Once Maglir has been spoken to, he will tell the Hero that the job should have been for three or four people, and believes that he is not paid enough for the job to put his life on the line. He then tells the Hero that they can do the job for him if they would like, and will mark the location of Fallen Rock Cave on the map.
Fallen Rock Cave[]
Go to the cave and kill the undead inhabiting it. Then go to the back room; it is filled with knee-deep water and contains the journal, which can be found next to a chest in a recession in the cave wall. Take the journal and exit the cave.
Decisions[]
Once out of the cave, one will have to decide whether or not to tell Modryn that Maglir was not the one that fulfilled the contract. If the Hero wants more information, they can go back to the Inn and speak with Maglir.
If Maglir is spoken to first, there will be two options: the Hero can either tell him that they will tell Modryn that he recovered the journal, or rebuke Maglir for not recovering the journal. If they tell him they will lie for him, he seems reluctant and thanks them. If telling him that they are going to tell the truth, he says that they must do what they think is right.
Reporting to Modryn[]
When reporting back to Modryn, there are two options when speaking to him. The Hero can tell him that the contract was not defaulted, and they simply recovered the journal from Maglir, or tell him that Maglir did indeed default, and they had to do the job themselves. The reward is the same amount of gold either way, but one will get an extra point of Fame if the truth is told.

Telling Oreyn the truth:
I told Modryn Oreyn that I completed Maglir's contract. He doesn't believe it's good to let Maglir slide on these things, but he applauded my sense of duty.
