Some of the older editors may have noticed that recently, I have been conspicuously absent.
My apologies about that. I have recently moved house, and where I was had a very unstable internet connection, and I was unable to get online. As of now though, I am back again :)
If anyone has any questions for me, you can find me either on my talk page, or on IRC.
Please note, also, that I am recommending that we, as a community, discontinue to use Wikia Chat. There is two main reasons for this. First of all, it has a lot more features than Chat does. Second of all, it enables Wikia contributors who don't have an account (which is a significant amount of editors on our wiki, and most wikis generally) to log on and ask questions and provide feedback about the wiki, or to just chat with other editors. Wikia Chat doesnt allow this, and is thus more restrictive than I believe the wiki should be. After all, Wikis are meant to be free for all to use.
On a different note, I also see that the main page now has a scrollbar, and links to the games from it. Thanks to whoever did that whilst I was gone. It was something I was going to look at doing, but didn't get time to do due to the OblivioWiki merge we had.
Anyways - keep up the good work, everyone.
Oh, and the Admin Dashboard here says that we have had 1.7 million visitors to the wiki this last week. Well done, everyone!
Finally, here's a quick poll to allow the community to decide which one they prefer. Just after a quick headcount here :)
I should also point out, because it has been mentioned a lot in the comments, that yes, Wikia Chat has been temporarily disabled. The reason for this is to get users who normally wouldnt use it (because it wasnt promoted as much as it should have been) to try it. If the community detests it, then we wont use it. All I am asking is for folks to give it a go. You never know - you may just find that you like it. (And as Kai has pointed out in the comments: IRC doesnt go offline when Wikia has maintenance. Wikia Chat does).
