Ruddy Man image

Did you get the Ruddy Man image from uesp.net?

Jimeee (talk) 11:05, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

I hope this is the correct way of replying, because I don't really know how it works. But yes I will take down the image because I looked at the address of where it was found, (I found it on google) and it is from the uesp.net. Sorry for my mistake. I will delete it then. Generally don't upload images unless you are 100% certain. Also remember to sign your posts with 4 ~ signs. Jimeee (talk) 13:46, November 22, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, thank you. AutoBlood (talk) 13:47, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

Clanbringer

What do you mean to make it better? You mean by adding more information to the page or editing within the template? —TombRaiser SPEAK! 18:33, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

I think it was editing the template, because when I first published it, it looked different than when you edited the page. AutoBlood (talk) 18:46, November 22, 2012 (UTC)
Ah yes. I moved the information you had added on the page within the BloodmoonWeapons template. You can edit the information contained there two ways. If you use Visual editing mode, if you move your mouse over the green puzzle piece looking thing at the very top of the page, a dropdown box will appear in which you can edit the properties in that template. The other way, is the way I do it, which is in source mode. Switch to the Source mode tab and edit the information directly from the BloodmoonWeapons template. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 18:52, November 22, 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much. I will remember to use this in new articles. AutoBlood (talk) 20:07, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

Red and Greed Thingies

I saw your question on Jimeee's talk page. The red or green numbers in your contribution page mean how much information have you added or taken. It measures it in bytes. —This unsigned comment is by Ikabite (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Renaming a page

Right next to the Edit (or Scribe) button is a small arrow pointing down. Click on that arrow and you will see an option to rename the page. Type in the new name, make sure "Leave a redirect behind" is checked. Save your page, now you can edit the old page and create a disambig out of it. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 21:51, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Armour

Wiki Style and formatting guidelines are that all pages are written in American English, so if you see any "Armour" or "Colour" or such, don't feel the need to justify changing it beyond just enforcing policy.

Re: Wanted Pages

If it was up there before, then someone might have removed it. I don't usually make edits to the main page to know what's been added or missing. But, you can still find WantedPages at Special:WantedPages. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 19:39, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Reverted image

Hi AutoBlood, I've reverted your image back to the previous image on Pit Wolf. It's preferred to have images from the game to illustrate characters and creatures. It makes it more "alive". So please do not replace them with images with no background. EbonySkyrim (talk) 09:17, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the congrats. :) EbonySkyrim (talk) 18:57, January 28, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Oblivion Mobile templates

What type of templates do you need? I've never played the game, so I wouldn't know which templates are needed. I'm assuming NPCs, Locations, Items and Quest templates for sure. You can still work on the Oblivion Mobile pages in the meantime while I figure out the color-scheme and fields needed for the templates. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 21:44, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

Hey AutoBlood, I got a few new templates for you. They are listed in Category:Infobox Templates/Oblivion Mobile. I just chose a random color-scheme. It may be changed later, but that's not so important right now. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 02:58, February 8, 2013 (UTC)

Morrowind categories

Hey AutoBlood, I'm aware that there is some issue with the Morrowind categories and that each time a page is saved it automatically removed the "Morrowind" part. I've contacted Wikia about this, since they recently "upgraded" the category system, and now it's about to run amok on the wiki. Hopefully this will get resolved soon. Only thing I can suggest for now is to not edit Morrowind pages unless you really need to, because once you save a page it will continue to remove the categories. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 01:56, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

Book covers

Hey AutoBlood, I've seen you have added book cover images that already are uploaded here. I know Vipor have uploaded the ones you use, I just want to let you know that there are already covers to use as many books have the same covers. :) Like this one: File:Book07.png. Have a look at the article Jimeee made today, http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Skyrim:_Book_Covers. There you can find the covers that are used for books with the same covers. It's the ones that are named Book01.png, Book02.png and so on. Same with journal covers. I'll let Vipor know too so he doesn't have to upload anymore covers unless they are not here already.

Wrong letter

Hi, I reverted your edit on Bloodstained Letter as it was the wrong letter you added, just to let you know. You added File:Letter to Hrodulf.png and it has not the same content. :) EbonySkyrim (talk) 19:54, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

Higher resolution?

Hi AutoBlood :) Just a question. Is it possible for you to upload higher resolutions on your images? For example pages from journals like this one I have uploaded. File:UmanasJournal1.png I'm just asking as I'm sure someone will replace it later on with a higher resolution. :) EbonySkyrim (talk) 22:49, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

Do you get larger images, what resolution does your screen have? The one I showed you is what I get when I take a screenshot from the game. Is it the graphics program that makes the image so small? :) EbonySkyrim (talk) 20:05, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Oh I see... well, nothing to do about it then. :) EbonySkyrim (talk) 20:10, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
I added a cover to Eisa's Journal and I also set a slideshow width of 250 px so you know. :) EbonySkyrim (talk) 20:16, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

Image Licensing

Hey Autoblood. Please use the {{Esimage}} licensing for images taken from the game. The {{GFDL-self}} license is if it is your own work. Even though you've cropped the image and made changes to it, it is still Bethesda's image. Thanks! :) —TombRaiser SPEAK! 20:06, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Bloodmoon

Thanks very much for the positive comments, but I see you're very active in helping to make the wiki a better place, so I must tip my hat to you as well.

I will eventually be moving on to Bloodmoon and Tribunal, but for right now I'm focusing on Morrowind character, location, spell articles. Honestly, there is an overwhelming amount of Morrowind-related work that needs to be done, hundreds of articles have yet to be created, thousands are in need of pictures, and all of them need to be updated to conform with the current style and formatting guidelines. Personally I'm kind of torn between just wanting to get massive amounts content up quickly, and the desire to write better and more detailed articles like what I've been working on with Sinyaramen.

I can't be everywhere at once, and I work a lot better if I focus on smaller things and take them one at a time. That's why I'm often editing specific little corners of the universe. I take a stroll down to Pelagiad and work on the location articles related to that town. Then I move on to something else. That's what works well for me. But fear not, both Bloodmoon and Tribunal will receive a lot of attention eventually. :) ──┤ Eganogard talk ├── 16:55, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

Appearances

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I've discussed the use of {{1st}} with TombRaiser, she said it's not needed when there is only one appearance. You can see the discussion on my talk page if you'd like. No big deal, but I'll probably be leaving it out in all my edits. Regards, ──┤ Eganogard talk ├── 21:48, May 5, 2013 (UTC)

I've thought about it a little bit - Tomb predicted that this would happen, and now that you've done it, I think I'll have to reconsider and keep adding the {{1st}} even when there is only one appearance. Especially if drives you nuts not see it. ;) I'm not one to impose my point of view on others, and I can understand why after seeing it so many times it would bother you. Personally, I feel it is redundant to use {{1st}} at all. If something appears in TES2, 3, and 4 it's fairly obvious which was first. Anyhow, happy editing, and keep up all the great work! ──┤ Eganogard talk ├── 22:55, May 5, 2013 (UTC)
I understood what you were saying. Honestly I haven't thought about it much and didn't realize that it may bother anyone. Although I do feel that it is redundant, it is a minor detail and it does no harm to include it. I shouldn't have casually asked Tomb about it, because it is very important to be consistent. It won't do the wiki any good to have people doing different things. I'll just keep on doing what has been established long before I arrived and add the 1st, even if it is not required. :) ──┤ Eganogard talk ├── 00:01, May 6, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Redguard template

Ok, I've just edited the {{Book}} template instead of creating a new template for Redguard books. This template is used for books that can be found in any game. For an example already in use, check out the source code in The Firmament. :) —TombRaiser SPEAK! 22:25, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Appearances

Hey Auto,

I looked on Riften (Online) and Riften (Arena) and saw that you're adding hyphens to the "Appearances" sections with their respective articles on the side. Did you decide to do that or was there a discussion somewhere? I've been meaning to bring this topic up (the section in general, not your edits specifically) for a while, but your idea isn't that bad. Kroq-gar78 (talk) 05:22, June 16, 2013 (UTC)

Don't do them anymore, but don't remove what you've already done so that we can use the Riften articles as examples for what we might want to do in the future. Kroq-gar78 (talk) 22:17, June 16, 2013 (UTC)
I think what I decided with User:Deyvid Petteys (or someone...) was that we add the links beside the game names in the "Appearances" section only if the article has a name we don't expect, as in if we just change the stuff in the parentheses from "Oblivion" to "Skyrim", it won't be the right article.
Hope that made sense :P Kroq-gar78 (talk) 04:16, June 23, 2013 (UTC)

Hrothmund's Axe

Hey, I remember reading a while back that you wanted an image of Hrothmund's Axe from Bloodmoon? I finally fixed the problem I was having with BM, so I can get a screenshot if you still want one. It is extremely dark in the burrow, so I can either do it in-game poorly lit by a torch, or from the construction set with full lighting (it would look similar to the one Tomb uploaded from Dragonborn). Let me know if you still want one. ──┤ Eganogard talk ├── 03:02, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

I'll start by uploading the CS version, since it is a lot easier to see. I'm not using any texture mods, so it is well lit but isn't modified in any other way. Trying to light it in-game is proving to be difficult, there's no light source nearby, and holding a torch helps but doesn't do a great job. Unfortunately the developers used a standard Nordic Silver Battleaxe (something we don't have an article for yet), and didn't design something unique to be Hrothmund's Axe. :(
Anyhow, here it is: Hrothmund's Axe (Bloodmoon).png. If you want me to take a torch-lit screenshot, or pick it up to do an image with an invisible background, let me know.
Thanks for the kind words by the way, but it's the patrollers like you who do all the hard work and keep an eye on things. I just have fun writing articles. :)   ──┤ Eganogard talk ├── 04:13, August 16, 2013 (UTC)
I meant that I can pick it up in the construction set, and move it to take a pic with an invisible background. You can't pick it up or equip it in the game. Using it runs a script that checks if the Nerevarine is at the right place in The Mead Hall Massacre quest, and makes sure that the Nerevarine didn't kill Svenja-Snow Song, then either grants or refuses Hrothmund's Blessing. If you want to use the pic, go ahead. If not I won't be offended if you decide to delete it. :)  ──┤ Eganogard talk ├── 05:03, August 16, 2013 (UTC)
We got that backwards, the one I uploaded was from the CS with full lighting turned on. It is extremely dark in the game, there's only two light sources in the burrow (you can see one in the background) and they're pretty far away. Without Night-Eye or a torch its like walking around in the dark when you first turn off the lights and can't really see anything. ;) Even if lit by a torch it is difficult to see details of the axe, so that's why I didn't upload it. (I play with the gamma setting exactly in the middle, which might be too low for screenshots.)
One of my friends that I've known since elementary school is a partner in a local venue, so when they have people performing that I'd like to meet, I get to go backstage sometimes. It doesn't last long, but its awesome to meet people who do something that influence how you see the world. I read your user page too btw, and it makes me happy to see people your age who are interested in something more than youtube and facebook. ──┤ Eganogard talk ├── 06:26, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

Camlorn

Thanks Auto! I just added text from a really old edit so there was SOMETHING there. A lot of those pages had a fair bit of content on them, which got removed when they got moved to "City x (Arena)" pages :( Ah well. Anyways - thanks! TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 14:18, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

I do not mind having the Arena pages for them, but I feel that they should have a lore-type of page. However, I'd like to have (and this is something I put on the Consensus Track section a while back) them as the main pages, such as Camlorn, and then have the other pages, such as Camlorn (Arena), and Camlorn (Online) as other pages, rather than having it as Camlorn (Lore). (It's either that or have pages show up in the Orphaned Pages category. TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 13:19, October 6, 2013 (UTC)
When we last discussed this on IRC, we agreed that - in most cases - the lore page should always be "<pagename> (Lore)" and the game names gets the game name, like: "<pagename> (Skyrim)" - It's confusing to have the "main" or "lore" page as the Arena page. What gives Arena priority over Online? Nobody even looks at the arena pages. Orphans should be dealt with via the disambig page and linking from relevant game pages. For example: The Disambig is "Windhelm" and in that we have all the variants, such as: Windhelm (Arena), Windhelm (Skyrim), Windhelm (Online) and Windhelm (Lore). About a video in an article

I want to put a video in The Path of the Incarnate, policies says that i cannot put one in main space articles, unless they are officialy realeased by Bethesda Softworks.

Then comes the doubt: my video is a speech from Azura, still not being released by the company, it is in the game. Can it be put or not?

Here is the video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-4dQ2_rtvE

Bugs template

Oh - I thought that all bugs sections should be hidden and have the template. The short ones shouldn't have the template, be hidden, or both? Cubears (talk) 03:10, October 20, 2013 (UTC)

I can see not hiding short bugs sections, assuming the intent is to not clutter articles visually with bug reports. However, if the intent was to hide potential spoilers, then they all should be hidden, but I think that's less likely.
In any case, I think the template is kind of important, since it tells people what is acceptable for a bug report. I will hold off on hiding short sections for now, but can you all discuss amongst the admins whether the bugs template should always be there? Cubears (talk) 19:07, October 20, 2013 (UTC)

Good Morrow

Good Morrow,

First things first, thanks for the sweetroll (which has not been stolen so far), it is nice to be appreciated for doing work on the wiki. Which beings me onto my second point, which is that I have created a House Redoran quest template (similar to the ones for the Mages Guild and Fighter's Guild). I have added it to the Athyn Sarethi quest line and will add it to other quests asap. (I will also endeavor to create Hlaalu and Telvanni templates).

Thanks again for the sweetroll! (deliciousness defined). JPDurzel (talk) 12:38, November 20, 2013 (UTC)

I saw a message under your name on my talk page. Are you asking about my character's appearance or outfit? I generated her face myself, but I did use the univision facemod, Apachii Skyhair and the Extended Character Edit mods. You can download the Cloudy Eyes Pack to get her red eyes. The red veins can be added if you have the RaceMenu addon.

The armor in the picture is from this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29690//?

Just ask if you need anything else. If you didn't ask this then nevermind.

Actually, i have another request. It seems the Ysra page is mispelling her name, so i mean to ask you if someone is to delete the other article and rename the old one to "Yrsa". I checked at UESP, they name her Yrsa as well. —Sky Above,Voice Within · Show thy Voice! 20:39, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

Yrsa

Wikia sometimes is really annoying. I searched for a Yrsa page - the only three pages it found were two Dragon Wall pages (where the letters "YRSA" appeared in the word wall test) and the Marriage page (where someone mentions that Yrsa could be married via console commands). There was no Yrsa page anywhere, so I created it (obviously, there's no way I could hve created a page with the same name as an existing one, right(? Then I saw your updates, which showed me that there evidently was a Yrsa page after all. Sorry about that, but I swear that it didn't exiost when I started. Did you just create the page yourself?Cubears (talk) 21:03, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

So the page already existed but the name was misspelled? That would explain why I couldn't find it... Cubears (talk) 19:20, November 30, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Concept Art

Hey Auto. That's not a bad idea. You mean to create a page like "Concept Art (Skyrim)", "Concept Art (Oblivion)", etc... and then have it on a disambig page "Concept Art"? I like the idea of having it in a tabled-list format as you suggested. We can have a new category for the images too. The images should contain a category called: Category:Skyrim: Concept Art Images and be listed in Category:Concept Art Images.

Great!
About the archive. Just create the page User talk:AutoBlood/Archive_1 and move all the content of your current talk page in there. Then return to your main user talk page and insert the template {{archives}} at the very top of your talk page. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 21:44, December 3, 2013 (UTC)
