Almost Finished

Hello, I fixed all character templates except for Tribunal, so you can finish fixing them. --Rupuzioks (talk) 15:11, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

I feel I am doing better as being regular editor and not a staff member. I think I will refuse future invitations too. --Rupuzioks (talk) 16:59, April 19, 2017 (UTC)
Good to know. :) As for the Tribunal characters, I started to fix them, so then only Skyrim, Dawnguard and Dragonborn are left, which are being fixed by you and other patrollers. --Rupuzioks (talk) 07:36, April 20, 2017 (UTC)

Disposition Question

On UESP they track the rewarded disposition for completing quests. Should that not be included in some infoboxes, or in reward sections? If not I’ll move along for other editing right off, but if dispositions can be documented then I think that’d be helpful (to know that you can now take miscellaneous items from a person since their disposition is up). Beyond that, some of these Stub Articles are just small miscellaneous quests, not really stubs. Can I remove stub categories from such miscellaneous quests provided that they have all relevant info?

Hello, I am clearing the duplicated images, so I need some advice about armor images. Left and right pieces have the same model, so is it fine to leave only one image or two different images mirrored? --Rupuzioks (talk) 14:08, May 12, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Member of the Month

Hey Carlo,

Sorry for my language but, Holy Shit! Thank you so much for the nomination. I wasn't expecting this at all, and it totally brightened up my day. I haven't been feeling well lately, so this made me feel a lot better. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it and to thank you. Hope you have a great day my friend. --Vincentius1 (talk) 16:31, May 13, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah I noticed, thank you again for that nomination! I just like to thank myself for achieving this, without me I probably wouldn't have earned it. And I would like to think my friend, Carlo for giving me the chance to become MOTM. I'm glad that I'm officially the MOTM, thank you again for that opportunity.--Vincentius1 (talk) 14:55, May 28, 2017 (UTC)

Magic script

Hello, I created all of the letters for the magic script, but somehow they doesn't show right. Is there some special way to upload svg files I don't know? --Rupuzioks (talk) 14:27, May 14, 2017 (UTC)

I figured out, I uploading svg files, but to properly show them the wikia needs magic script font. So then you can delete them, and I will upload png files instead. --Rupuzioks (talk) 14:45, May 14, 2017 (UTC)

PNG images and characters images

Hello CarloV3r,

I introduce myself : LivingSeptim, great contributor to the French Wikia and a regular contributor of the English Wikia. I contact you because I would like to know why have you removed the PNG images that I added on the article Dwemer instead of the images in JPG format? Because I confess to you not to seize this procedure, especially since I know from experience, your Wikia prefers to have images in PNG format than in JPG format.

Also, I would like to know why do you add images of the Morrowind NPCs while they are screens made by invoking them directly with the command console? Because I think it would be better to take snapshots of NPCs in the places where they are found, and not all in the same place by making them appear anywhere via the console.

Seriously, I confess I do not understand these procedures from you and I would like that you clarify these two things.

Sincerely,

LivingSeptim.

LivingSeptim (talk) 17:27, May 15, 2017 (UTC)

Hello CarloV3r,
Thanks you so much for your answer. I understand what it is for PNG images. But from my previously message on the Morrowind NPCs, why do you add screens of them by invoking them through the command console? I think it would be better to take screens where they are found, no?
LivingSeptim (talk) 17:47, May 15, 2017 (UTC)
Hello CarloV3r,
Having no response from you following my previous message, I re-ask my question: Why do you add screens of them by invoking them through the console command?
I don't in any way question your work on the Wikia but I'd like to know why you do this knowing that it would be better to add character screens where they are found, not by invoking them through the console command.
Thank you for your understanding and see you soon on the Wikia.
Sincerely,
LivingSeptim.

Reverting edits

Are you just going to undo ever edit I make to this wikia?Jacob Ravensgate (talk) 16:53, May 21, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Refs

Hi, and thank you, I rarely edit here so I've fallen out of the latest wiki practice. I will ask however that you do not remove information that is referenced in the trivia section- this is not pure speculation like the information I removed, but is sourced from in-game material. As per the policy consensus I helped pass on this wiki, and the same policy I helped re-evaluated after some misunderstandings, content of that nature is permitted in the Trivia section of articles, so I ask that you please do not revert edits I make in this nature. Bluesonic1 (talk) 07:22, May 22, 2017 (UTC)

The word wall clearly mentions Miraak as the champion of a Daedra- that's what that particular word wall is about. He wears the armour that the Dragon Aspect shout provides (the word wall is for the Dragon Aspect shout), which we know was a shout given to him by Hermaeus Mora on top of the fact that we know that the Daedric Prince he serves is Hermaeus Mora. This is not a connection I made up. The "likely" part refers to the clan being involved with that Prince through Miraak, based on the presence of this word wall. And before you jump on then removing the "likely" part, I'd like to again point to the consensus that says it's exactly for trivia of speculative nature that have reference material to support them. Bluesonic1 (talk) 10:19, May 22, 2017 (UTC)
Honestly, I thought the connection between Miraak and Herma Mora was pretty obvious, considering the whole Dragonborn DLC is centered around this, but I have re-worded it anyway. I'm not entirely happy with how it reads but if someone can offer to re-word it without information being removed, I'm happy to see that happen as it sounds quite clunky. Bluesonic1 (talk) 07:46, May 23, 2017 (UTC)
Ah that works great, thanks for that! Bluesonic1 (talk) 11:28, May 23, 2017 (UTC)

Hello, I added the (important) tag to the bug in the Purity page, but it was suppose to be temporary until I found a page that would be more informative for the viewers. It was fine the way it was worded already there was no need to add that extra stuff, so I reverted it back to what it was before me and ask that you copy the bug to The Compainions page because I feel it would get more visability there. if you could, I'd like to format that bugs page myself because I see it has the same bug listed twice. you can delete this message after you read it if you want.

Instant Expert for ESO Morrowind

Heya :) Just wanted to let you know that we've again partnered with Bethesda to create a special page about ESO -- this time about the new Morrowind expansion. It'll follow exactly the same design conventions as we used on the Super Walkthrough:The Elder Scrolls Online page. As your admin team requested last time, it'll be tucked away in its own namespace. The pagename will be Instant Expert:ESO Morrowind. I'll have it up in about an hour, so please be sure to drop by today and take a look! If you have any suggestions for improvement, please let me know! Thanks! -- CzechOut @fandom 17:29, June 6, 2017 (UTC)

Done and done. The link was just a temp one from my test wiki, where I didn't have the content of this one. Oh! Which reminds me. If you wanna see the final product now, a few minutes early, you can go to w:c:czech-elder-scrolls-out:Instant Expert. -- CzechOut @fandom 17:51, June 6, 2017 (UTC)
Okay! All seems to be up and working well at Instant Expert:ESO Morrowind. I've gone back and pointed links back to (Online) variants, where they existed. I fixed category redlinks in {{IE More}}. (And discovered that Category:Online: Vvardenfell Locations hasn't actually been created yet, despite being well-populated.)
Would you mind giving the page a hard, careful look-see to determine if any links could be improved? Thanks! -- CzechOut @fandom 18:50, June 6, 2017 (UTC)
Hey, so the fact that Category:Online: Vvardenfell Locations wasn't created was causing a redlink on Instant Expert:ESO Morrowind. So I took the liberty of popping into a category that seemed logical: Category:Online: Locations. If that was the wrong place, I apologise, but it seemed logical enough. I dunno the game well enough to tell whether it should also go into category:ESO Morrowind: Locations -- are there really two Vvardenfells in the one game? -- so if you could help finesse this category placement, it'd be appreciated! -- CzechOut @fandom 01:03, June 7, 2017 (UTC)

Hireling Edits

This is my absolute first time editing a wiki of any sort, though I have basic HTML knowledge.  I'll look at the suggestions as soon as I get the rest of the mails up.  (I was keeping them for myself until I found an appropriate place to post them... I Googled first and couldn't find them, so I figured others might want to read any they missed as well.)  Feel free to treat me like the newb I am (at least in this) and fix/tell me to fix anything I do wrong.  :)

Vaesse75 (talk) 17:57, June 23, 2017 (UTC)

I got the infoboxes done as best I can.  Still not certain where the other part is.  Let me know if anything else needs fixed.  Plan to update letters as I get them and am able (including making new hireling pages as they appear), but probably won't edit the wiki otherwise.
Vaesse75 (talk) 19:11, June 23, 2017 (UTC)
Quick question... I've been including [sic] as I notice them, where errors are obvious in the text and not from my mistyping.  I see that someone (maybe a bot?) has been fixing them to be links including the correction and not to make it.  If it's a bot, great.  If it's someone going through and fixing things up for me, how do I fix that for myself?  It doesn't look as simple as the other links.  I'm apparently using the visual editor, if that makes a difference.
Vaesse75 (talk) 13:56, June 25, 2017 (UTC)
I think I got it figured out! The big issues were using the other editor (which for the time being I'll only use when doing "sic" fixes) and that I need the code outside the italics so it actually works right.  I hope there aren't TOO many errors in the game text, but given the humanity of everyone involved, I think I now know how to handle things when I do find more.

RE: Tiber

Well, certain sources imply he's from High Rock, such as The Arcturian Heresy and Holidays of the Iliac Bay. Additionally, in Pocket Guide to the Empire, First Edition: Wild Regions, Tiber Septim is listed as being known for "his hatred for Orcs", which appears to be a feature many Bretons share with him. My last bit of evidence, while it is largely speculative, is the appearance of Tiber Septim's statues in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which look more Breton than any other race, but, as I said, the last one is largely speculative.

Again, it's stated in some sources that he's from High Rock, implying that he might have been Breton, of course other sources imply that he's a Nord and all that, or Atmoran. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 14:40, June 27, 2017 (UTC)

Orc

Destinguished from Man and Mer. What other kind of race is still left then? Beastfolk. Definition of folk: people. Aka, Beastfolk = Beast peoples.

An immense hatred for orcs, yeah, so is being a beast race a negative thing? Argonians and Khajiit are also beast races, is that a negative thing? When did Tiber Septim say that "they are a beast race, not Mer"? Why is being a beastrace negative compared to being a race of Mer in your eyes?

The Loremaster's archive is still a source, regardless of who said it. It should be noted on the page that there are sources that consider them beastfolk, not stating it goes against policy.

"Want me to kill an orc? It'll cost you more... but I'll kill elves for free." if Orcs were a race of Mer she'd say "but I'll kill other elves for free", not "but I'll kill elves for free."

Additionally, the Betmeri topic in Morrowind quite clearly lists Orcs as beast, "The peaceful Khajiit and Argonian races are the most numerous and culturally advanced of the Beast races; the war-loving Orc tribes are relatively few in number and widely scattered".

There are conflicting sources and implying that one holds more value than the other simply breaks the NPOV policy. These sources make a distinct difference between the races of Man, Mer and "Orc", what is so hard to understand about that? We have different reasonings on many pages, because there are conflicting sources, on various pages. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 19:34, June 28, 2017 (UTC)

Additionally, it doesn't matter what the majority of the community "thinks" Orcs are, what matters is what is stated in the games. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 19:39, June 28, 2017 (UTC)

Categories and Stuff

I noticed that there is a partial coverage of certain broader categories compared to specific ones. For example, Category:Attributes and Category:Gameplay has some specific pages in them, but not all. Should each attribute from each game also be in the broader category, or should it only be in a subcategory, like Category:Oblivion: Attribues? I can easily fix the problem, but I'd just like to know whether or not they should be in the broader category before I start anything. Ottoman Hold Message Me My Action 04:09:00 July 07, 2017

Category:Skyrim: Concept Art

Hey Carlo,

I was looking through the images categories and stuff on the wiki and I noticed a large amount of the Skyrim concept art stuff is under locations, items etc. I was wondering if we should try to replace the categories and leave just Skyrim: Concept Art, or to make a Skyrim: Concept Art template and remove the other categories (that's what I was thinking to do,) or to try something else? Here's a couple of links so you can look at it. Help With Moving a Page

Hey Carlo,

So I was reading books from The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind on the wiki and I noticed a common redlink referring to Books (ESO Morrowind). I went ahead and created the page and started compiling a list of all books in the game, following the same format as represented by the page Books (Imperial City). However, shortly after I did that, I found the actual page of books for the game, under Vvardenfell Vvolumes. What perplexed me is that Vvardenfell Vvolumes is a collections, and for all other DLC collections are represented as a category. Take Gold Coast Tomes for example. The page simply redirects to it's relative category page. I believe Vvardenfell Vvolumes should do the same: redirect to Category: Online: Vvardenfell Volumes, and the book list be moved to Books (ESO Morrowind).

However, I can't do this. Since Books (ESO Morrowind) was already created, I can't rename Vvardenfell Vvolumes to it. This is necessary to peserve the history of the page. Ideally, what I think should happen is..

  1. Vvardenfell Vvolumes be renamed to Books (ESO Morrowind), which requires overwriting the page I created.
  2. The redirect page that is created afterwards should be changed to redirect to the Vvardenfell Vvolumes category page.

I need an admin's help with #1. Can you do this? If you disagree with the categorization, then I can simply redirect the page Books (ESO Morrowind) to Vvardenfell Vvolumes.

Thanks,

Clandestine616 (talk) 03:55, July 13, 2017 (UTC)

Ill reply here. Short answer - no. Not all books in ESO Morrowind are in the Vvardenfell vvolumes collection. On the project page, theres a list of in-game books, as well as the vvolumes list, and they dont match up properly. TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 09:17, July 13, 2017 (UTC)

Actually, given the fact I always use American syntax, commas can go on the outside of quoted content. It is not a firm American rule that it goes inside, especially if it is to distinguish between an actual quote and whether something being quoted is a name along with being cognizant of what is around the quotation marks. I triple checked this before I changed anything but hey, I just won't bother if it is to be a firm rule in this case rather than the fact it is for distinguishing between two different things in American dialect English grammar. Shane for Wax (Speak back) 09:09, July 20, 2017 (UTC)

High Hrothgar

Hello, I moved High Hrothgar article, so Ulfric Stormcloak (Skyrim) article needs a link to be fixed. It is protected page, so I can't fix. --Rupuzioks (talk) 17:24, July 20, 2017 (UTC)

Oblivion Conversations

Hello, I was just wondering why you changed the quotes section for Dul gro-Shug? Atvelonis asked that I don't use that format and instead use the 'conversations' template when adding quotes like those to Oblivion NPC's. Thanks! Poisoned apples (talk) 23:04, July 23, 2017 (UTC)

I see, I guess I was mixed up. Thanks for clearing that up, I'll remember next time. Poisoned apples (talk) 20:54, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

Disambig

Hi, just noting that Drain Vitality (Dawnguard) distinguishes between (Dawnguard) and (Legends) in the article titles but Soul Tear does not (there is just Soul Tear (Legends)). ☽O☾ Bluesonic1 Message Me ARUDOR -- { 09:17, July 24, 2017 (UTC) }

I would if I could, but I lack hours in the day :P I noticed by chance looking something up. It was the same with Fire Breath and Fire Breath (Legends), I believe the first is meant to include (Skyrim) on the end, I vaguely remember seeing another that did this. But yeah there's quite a few like that, just thought I'd bring it up so you guys can organise a project list or whatnots.

Tribute Chest Key

Hello, Tribute Chest Key.png file is deleted, so here is the red link that needs to be fixed. I already fixed other pages with File:EmbershardMineKey.png instead, but this one is protected. --Rupuzioks (talk) 15:19, July 31, 2017 (UTC)

Dialogue

Hey Carlo,

I wanted to add dialogue between the player and Ulfric on the Ulfric Stormcloak (Skyrim) page, but since it's locked, I was wondering if you could unlock it? Or should I put the dialogue on the talkpage, so a mod can add them?

Let me know what you think, Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 16:17, July 31, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Dialogue

Turns out the dialogue I wanted to add was hidden in one of those "pop up" boxes, false alarm. You can lock it again if you want. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 19:47, July 31, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Keep it up

Hey Carlo, Sorry for responding 5 years (More like, a day) late. But thanks for the fishy stick! Glad to see that my contributions are appreciated! Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 23:51, August 3, 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the Sweetroll!

Come to chat?

Hey Carlo, sorry to bother you, but if you could come to chat so I can talk with you real fast that would be great. Cheers Qahnaarin1997 (talk) 07:25, August 9, 2017 (UTC)
