- No wonder people prefer UESP, this place is a mess. Sorry for the trouble then. -- Dr. Porter (Talk|Contribs) 22:39, July 20, 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Dr. Porter, in the future we would appreciate it if you asked before making formatting changes like this. Generally, if you see something consistent on many of our articles, it is there on purpose and should not be changed without a proper consensus. We act independently from the UESP so our exact formatting does not necessarily align all the time. Thanks. —Atvelonis (talk) 23:47, July 20, 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't realize it was consistent with all the other articles until I'd already started. Nevertheless, it's not like it's UESP's preference to not erroneously capitalize inside parentheses, it's just correct grammar. I justified my changes and I would think making the titles correct would be encouraged seen as though it will allow readers to take the wiki more seriously. Anyway, I would suggest an update to the parentheses clause in the title policy to only apply to proper nouns such as game titles. -- Dr. Porter (Talk|Contribs) 05:48, July 21, 2017 (UTC)
- The policy has been around longer than I've been here, so I can't comment on its precise reasoning. My assumption is that we stuck with capitals for all of them just for consistency with the game title suffixes. I would suggest that you bring this issue up in the moot on August 5th if you'd like to see the policy revised. —Atvelonis (talk) 16:29, July 21, 2017 (UTC)
