Including them right now won't be a good idea, since I don't think it will go very well with the rest of the chat. — Flightmare (talk) 22:51, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

why do you think that? the pony from dementia 23:04, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

I get lots of complaints there isn't enough Elder Scrolls related talk going on in the chat. I don't think emotes that are completely unrelated to TES will help. — Flightmare (talk) 23:05, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

but why that is a problem?we talk about elderscrolls to time to time and others wiki also post emoticons that don´t have nothing to with their wikis- the pony from dementia 23:08, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

CSS For Tabbers

Hiya, I was just wondering if it would be possible for you to give me a copy of the CSS code you use for the tabbers on the Wiki? I've just started a Wiki for an upcoming video game and I'm not experienced enough to write my own (yet) and the other ones I've found will do for a bit, but aren't great. I'm a huge admirer of this Wiki (you might see influences of that in the one I've just made) and think it looks stunning. If you can, please do give it to me. If not, I understand.

I have copied this message from one a sent to Timeoin and TombRaiser yesterday. TombRaiser suggested that I ask you.

Thanks! JJS 12 (talk) 18:55, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Here it is, paste into Special:CSS.
/* Tabber overrides */
.tabbertab {
    border:none !important;
    padding: 0px !important;
ul.tabbernav {
    font: 14px Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif !important;
    border-bottom: 0px !important;
    border-top: 5px solid black !important;
.tabberlive {
    width: 100% !important;
ul.tabbernav li a {
    padding: 8px 12px !important;
    margin-left: 0px !important;
    color: D5D4D4 !important;
    border: none !important;
    background: none !important;
ul.tabbernav li a:link { color: #D5D4D4 !important; }
ul.tabbernav li a:visited { color: #D5D4D4 !important; }
ul.tabbernav li a:hover {
    color: #D5D4D4 !important;
    background: black !important;

ul.tabbernav li.tabberactive a {

Hi Flightmare... I'm trying to categorize all uncategorized images. Done a couple of thousands now and only have a few hundreds left. I just guessed the category I added to the wiki backgrounds images.. what category can those be in? —EbonySkyrim Message! 12:44, February 25, 2014 (UTC)

I was searching for a system images category, but I don't think there is one yet. It should be in the same category as the wordmark and other wiki images. Maybe it doesn't exist yet and we should create one. But these images have nothing to do with the curse network. — Flightmare (talk) 12:59, February 25, 2014
Yeah, I kind of felt the lack of image categories, especially in the later games. And those just uploaded for use on location talkpages.. the curse network, do you mean the other wikis that was listed? —EbonySkyrim Message! 13:25, February 25, 2014 (UTC)
Yes SkyrimWiki is part of the Curse network, similar to how we are part of Wikia. — Flightmare (talk) 13:42, February 25, 2014 (UTC)

Bot logging

Two small suggestions:

  • put the date format under YYYY-MM-DD: not only is this clear to everyone (1-3-2014 is March 1st for us, but January 3rd for Americans), but it also lists more convenient alphabetical listing (not all 1st days of the months listed together)
  • add an !update function that's available for administrators, so they can push KINMUNE into logging already if the admin enters right after something has happened.

Hope this is of any use (:

You are reading my mind, am was working on these things, but thanks for the heads-up. For the first version I used the most easy approach to get things done, this was intended. Right now the system translates the timestamps returned by the chat into the time set up for my locale. I am aware of the inconvenient time conventions. Another unintended result was the 12-hour timestamp instead of having a 24h one. This is why I ask all users to keep in mind this is a work in progress. I have thought through most aspects by now, but didn't have time to implement all of them. And some features may take a while longer to get implemented. — Flightmare (talk) 23:01, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
I mean the most easy approach for programming the bot, not readability. The usability was all planned for a later version. I skipped caring for the YYYY-MM-DD date format with the first release in order to get some sleep instead :D. — Flightmare (talk) 23:15, March 1, 2014 (UTC)

unban me plz

Okay cmon i was trying to state a point to every one about them to stop fighting can u please unban me all i was saying is if no body is getting ofended by wht ppl are talking about then why get alll butt hurt about it

XXBloodyMaryScaryXx (talk) 18:40, March 7, 2014 (UTC)Rachel

It seems like you still have problems with accepting the situation after being warned countless of times. Your first ban period apparently did not make you see that. I hope you will start seeing this in the near future, but for now you are too emotionally loaded for having a discussion. Stating a point the way you did was completely wrong, and only made the situation worsen. — Flightmare (talk) 18:43, March 7, 2014 (UTC)

Cmon i was just trying to end the fight i just wanted to have my msg seen and ppl were typeing to fast and my msgs went out of veiw to fast so i used caps so ppl could read it if u had read it instead banning me as soon s u see a cap then comeon like seriously this is why u guys are bad mods you act to quicly you dont get boch sides of the story before you ban or kick

XXBloodyMaryScaryXx (talk) 18:45, March 7, 2014 (UTC)Rachel

You were told at least 3 times you are not the person who ends fights. And you probably were warned far before that as well. — Flightmare (talk) 18:51, March 7, 2014 (UTC)
i was banned because someone thinks im sockpuppeting but im not DC Tanker (talk) 02:06, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
I have changed the ban-length to the duration of Madara-Uchiha's ban (the user chatmods say you are) to eliminate doubts. Thus the ban will be lifted in 3 days. — Flightmare @fandom (talk) 17:07, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

A question

Hi Flightmare, just want to ask why you uploaded this image under that name? It's not the first time I have seen this particular name used for other images and it's also used on other wikis. I have deleted it once or twice before but it was a different image then. Just want to know the purpose of using the same name. —EbonySkyrim Message! 19:39, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

Looks like we just found the cause of Special:Promote breaking down countless of times. This image is created and managed by the system itself and is required for having a visual representation of TESWiki on the entire Wikia network. As of now, all visual links to TESWiki display a grey mesh. And Wikia actually has to verify this image before it will be used. — Flightmare (talk) 19:50, March 8, 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, I had no idea.. thanks for the clarification. As you know I've been going through both unused and uncategoriezed images in the past weeks so that's why it has happened. —EbonySkyrim Message! 20:14, March 8, 2014 (UTC)
But the Promotion page has been broken for nearly a year now. If that wasn't you, there might still be something wrong with the system. — Flightmare (talk) 00:30, March 9, 2014 (UTC)
I have only deleted unused images in the last month.. —EbonySkyrim Message! 09:40, March 9, 2014 (UTC)

Yellow Headers

Just wondering - do you know if anyone has been changing up the javascript lately? Because - yeah, they've changed colour all of a sudden. TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 09:43, March 9, 2014 (UTC)

Jimeee made all headers yellow. I have no clue why. Check out the history of MediaWiki:Wikia.css — Flightmare (talk) 11:43, March 9, 2014 (UTC)

Chat suggestion

Is it possible to add a feature that allows staff to make group PM's. There has been times where situations have came up and I have had to PM staff members one at a time. As you can imagine it is rather annoying and wastes a bit of time. I reallly think we could benefit from a feature like this. Please get back to me. Zu'u lost daal. anchor tag problem

Hi Flightmare! I'm trying to create a template which displays a visual indicator if a bug on a wiki page has been confirmed or not, and whether an unofficial patch fixes it. That template is located here: Template:ConfirmBug. However, whenever it is displayed, the anchor tags are not registering, even when they use the appropriate anchor tag markup. Can you please fix this ? The template will be expanded to include the other games as well, but I can't do that if the template won't render. Thanks! --Speysider Talk Page | Tabber Code | Channel 20:00, March 16, 2014 (UTC)

Online books sub-infobox

Hello Flight. Can you add an Online game infobox to the Books template? We are going to need it at this point. Thanks. —Sky Above,Voice Within · Show thy Voice! 00:01, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

I'll look into it. — Flightmare (talk) 22:55, March 17, 2014 (UTC)
Flight! The amount of book articles is growing substantiously. Please do hurry! —Sky Above,Voice Within · Show thy Voice! 18:02, April 1, 2014 (UTC)
It is added now, but anyone could have done this. — Flightmare (talk) 18:36, April 1, 2014 (UTC)

Staff colors

Hey Flightmare, I was wondering, can you explain how you made the staff colors on the Wiki? Since I would like to do something similar for the Elder Scrolls Mods Wiki, thanks. :) Zippertrain85 (talk) 21:41, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

Copy from MediaWiki:Common.css/highlights.css into w:c:tes-mods:Special:CSS. — Flightmare (talk) 22:10, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

It has my name in orange despite being an Administrator. Will this change? Zippertrain85 (talk) 22:36, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, I seem to have made the name on my profile the right color, but whatever I write still appears in the blue format. Any idea what's the problem? Zippertrain85 (talk) 04:43, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

This isn't supposed to change the text colour of anything you type. — Flightmare (talk) 15:57, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

I wanted to be like here, where your color is changed depending on where you are in the staff. Zippertrain85 (talk) 16:00, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

You altered the CSS in a way it would never work. Just copy the page from TESWiki and change all names. — Flightmare (talk) 16:05, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

You know what, I think I'm just going to not even bother doing this. I tried again, and it still didn't process it correctly. Honestly, I don't have the patience to keep trying this. Zippertrain85 (talk) 17:05, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

It just needs some time to update, it appears to be working right now. — Flightmare (talk) 21:48, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

Instant Expert

Hi, Flightmare!

We're planning an "Instant Expert" showcase with the upcoming release of ESO. The gist is that we reach out to admins asking their expert opinions and thoughts on an upcoming or existing game - so in this case, questions pertaining to Elder Scrolls Online. We're in the process of cobbling together a reasonably short list of questions we'd like to ask and were wondering if you'd like to be one of those that provides answers. Let me know, and I'll email you the list to the email address associated with your account ;) Feel free to answer any or all of them - we're aiming for getting the answers by the end of the month.

Best regards,

Raylan13@fandom (talk) 19:34, March 25, 2014 (UTC)

Reporting a User

Hi Flight. Recently this User has attacked several people on threads in the Forums. I already placed a warning on that Users talk page, but instead of stopping, that User continued to attack people (and even insulted me directly with a reply on my talk page). Could you please do something against him/her? AngryEnclaveSoldier (talk) 17:31, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

I have noticed Kinmune has been absent from the chat for a while now. Has there been an update to Wikia Chat that Kinmune isn't suitable for or are you having internet issues ? --Speysider Talk Page | Tabber Code | Channel 22:05, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

It appears Wikia has changed the chat again. — Flightmare (talk) 11:26, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

Can we enable ArchiveTool on the wiki? There's a consensus track which I've linked to that discusses this. I posted it quite a while ago, but it wasn't really noticed, so bumping it for exposure. --Speysider Talk Page | Tabber Code | Channel 09:56, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

I have enabled it. — Flightmare @fandom (talk) 11:13, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

Online Achievement

Hey Flightmare, I just realised that the counter for the achievements that are awarded for editing "Online" doesn't count up anymore. Just wanted to let you know, I have no idea how the achievements work, perhaps you do. :) Flugsmith (talk) 20:13, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

Most likely a Wikia issue, I will forward it. — Flightmare @fandom (talk) 20:56, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
No, I just realised the category the badge uses is removed from most articles as it only existed trough the NewMMO-template. — Flightmare @fandom (talk) 20:58, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
Oh right, does that mean that you can resolve it? Thanks for the clarification. Flugsmith (talk) 21:29, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
Yes, we have to come up with a new category for it to watch. — Flightmare @fandom (talk) 21:52, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

DC Tanker's Ban

Hey, Flight.

I just wanted to understand why you shortened the ban for DC Tanker, as he's a sock-puppet account of Madara-Uchiha, previously banned for posting porn in chat. PLPellegrini (talk) 17:28, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
