De Rerum DirennisEdit

Um... sorry Kenny, but unfortunately, we already have that information added to the wiki at Du Rerum Dirennis :( TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 14:39, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

In Skyrim (and i have it in my backpack now) it says De Rerum Dirennis. Not Du Rerum with an U. It that a mistake made by Bethesda? Kennyannydenny (talk) 14:45, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

Err... Oops :s I made a very human mistake there :( I knew it was Silda (I used the Skyrim Guide as my source btw, we dont use UESP if we can help it :D) And yeah... then accidentally moved the wrong one. sorry about that :\ Thanks for correcting it though! Its much appreciated! TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 14:36, November 30, 2011 (UTC)

Heh. Okay :) The real big gripe is with regards to images, really :) TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 15:05, November 30, 2011 (UTC)

A False FrontEdit

Hey! I think I can help you with this problem. Since A False Front is already a page, what you can do is copy/paste the info from False Front into that page, and change False Front into a redirect, leading to A False Front. I hope this makes sense.

Also, the double-editing problem. Tons of people on all of Wikia are experiencing the same problem, so it's something they need to fix on their end. --— Radical D (bother \ stalk) 17:25, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

What you're "supposed" to do is delete the destination page, then "move" the old page to the destination location and "undelete" all the previously deleted edits. Since only admins can delete/undelete edits and and pages, that's why you received the message. I've never done it that way and personally think it's messy. If you're concerned about it, just wait until Timeoin responds. --— Radical D (bother \ stalk) 17:32, December 3, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not going to tell you what you should or shouldn't do. That's a risk you'd have to be willing to take yourself. I have no idea how merges are handled here, honestly. And technically, the "edit history" would still be preserved on the redirect page, so it's not entirely gone. --— Radical D (bother \ stalk) 17:35, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

The Lisette Mistake Edit

Yeah you were right bout the bad. I posted a new photo for lisette but i couldn't rename the lisette.jpg pic to vivienne but i saw that vivienne already had one so it's all good now. Thanks for noticing it. Vercinghetorix (talk) 16:33, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

About the Dovah language... Edit

Hey man, was wondering if you could fix that prophecy section, I can't see it, since it's all coding.

Also, do you know if the Dovah use numbers? Lastly, how do I actually just find out how to write out, say, "look out over there" in Dragonic?Dagoth11 (talk) 19:58, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

Azura bless you, that minor inconvenience was rather annoying. Well, maybe either one day I'll find a book on it, or Bethesda will provide something for us, right? Pogaan KOGaaN Fah HIN ZeyMah Dagoth11 (talk) 20:47, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

Hey! Thanks for that! I was trying to clean up the Special:WantedPages a little bit whilst waiting for the servers to refresh (so that I can actually get to work again). Was going to add the content for them in a bit later. But I see that you have already done that for me - so...thanks for that! Seriously! :) TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 11:32, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Eventually, I'll probably get around to making pages for most of the ones listed in Potions (Morrowind), and have locations and vendors for each of the ones that sell them :D TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 11:38, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Morrowind PagesEdit

No, you are indeed not mistaken in that regard. There are some very good reasons why this was the case, however. Firstly, when I joined the wiki, it was essentially dead. Folks here didnt think it could compete with that other site, so they didnt bother. Then there was the fact that, at the time, there was a wiki on Wikia, known as the OblivioWiki, which dealth exclusively with Oblivion stuff. This wiki and theirs had a fallout, and folks pretty much left it. So thats what it was like when I joined: it was redlinked to all heck, there was few pages other than lore pages (mostly copied from the Pocket Guides or Guide Books). I did what I could to get down the number of red-linked pages, with some degree of success. Then I started creating some pages. Then, we merged with the Skyrim wiki, and gained a whole heap of editors (everyone from their wiki was suddenly at our wiki). Even though it was small, there was a lot of merging to do. Then, a few months later, we merged with OblivioWiki, and there was several thousand pages and categories to merge (Truth be told, thats still not complete: see the Merge category for examples). So ... in all, yeah, the Morrowind stuff is still being completed. Ive personally completed the game twice now, but havent had a chance to add everything to the wiki yet. (I mean, the game re-defines MASSIVE!) Anyways - now you know why there wasnt that many Morrowind pages :) Theres still a few here and there from Oblivion that need adding, but, for the most part, we have most things added already :) Thats why we're adding Morrowind stuff (Kacj and myself are working on adding as much as we can :D) Because folks are playing Morrowind and Oblivion now that they're starting to finish Skyrim :D If you've played Morrowind, we welcome you to help out with adding pages about it (and if not, thats okay too!) Anyways - now you know the situation with it. Also- I dont know why I wrote such a long explanation: I just started typing and... didnt stop :O TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 11:57, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Well... that, too, is okay :) The only reason I have been starting to add the Morrowind pages lately is that I know that folks are starting to play the game more and more lately (and will increase probably as time goes on), and folks like myself have played them and know what to add about them :D I'm glad knowing that folks such as yourself are going to continue editing the Skyrim pages. For now, I'm taking somewhat of a break for them, if only until the Creation Kit comes out and we can find out all sorts of information that wasnt revealed in the Skyrim Game Guide. (There inevitably is a lot of it - particularly with regards to characters!) I still edit on some of the Skyrim ones (mainly with templating and weapons) - but I often go on wiki tangents. I start things, then go and work on other things that need working on - I cant help it, its just how I am lol. Dont get me wrong - I'm enthusiastic, though. There's going to be several years worth of work before I'm satisfied with the state of the wiki :D TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 12:35, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Latest Badge!Edit

Congrats on that! Incidentally, there was some debate about the name of that one. It was suggested a while ago that we change it to, you know, something TES related. I mean, it was fine in June when there was about 5 editors on here, all of which knew my insanity ;) It was changed back to that name because folks still wanted it called that :D Apparently everyone has noticed my insanely high number of edits (I think the next one of those badges that I get will be 17,000 something :P) so ... it gives folks something to strive for :D (Btw, I wasnt trying to show off... more show that yes, I literally *AM* insane :P Still... congrats! You've earned it! :D TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 13:15, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Resist Poison Potion Page Edit

I guess they can have their own unique page, but Potion/Poison Recipe page was made to avoid that originally and as of today, updated to include all of the recipes from the game. Neguy71inok (talk) 22:41, January 21, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Kennyannydenny! Recently, in the IRC, we've discussed possible candidates for new Patrollers on the wiki. During the discussion, your name was mentioned as a suitable candidate. So far, you've expressed great dedication to the wiki and contributed a great deal. Please contact Elchzard or myself if you were interested in accepting this added responsibility.

Patrollers scout the Recent Changes and New Pages for potential vandalism. With one click, you can revert multiple undesirable edits from a single user. Additionally, you can forward vandals to admins on their talk pages, or by flagging the culprit's userpage with the {{Vip}} template, the date, and the infraction. If this sounds like too much for you, that's okay. Love to hear back from you! :) --— Deyvid Petteys (bother \ stalk) 11:18, January 22, 2012 (UTC)

Imperial LetterEdit

Um ... what is it? That page doesnt link to anywhere? :( I ask because ... we finally managed to get Special:LonelyPages down to zero, and I'd like to keep it that way if possible :) TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 23:06, January 23, 2012 (UTC)

Also, Otar's Mad Guardians. Is that quest page renamed something else (if so, sorry, I didnt see it). But I didnt delete the page because its the Skyrim Guide's name for the Dungeon Quest. TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 23:17, January 23, 2012 (UTC)

Just so you knowEdit

Several of those bugs of yours are going to be fixed in the 1.4 patch. TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 09:43, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, Xbox and ps3 seem to be pretty buggy. (I havent encountered that many bugs, myself. i used to have the case where my PC version would randomly quit, but that was fixed in the 1.2 update (yes, the backwards dragons one) :P Moral of the story: Play Skyrim on PC, that way if it screws up, you can use console commands to fix it up :) TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 09:51, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, I think I understand what you mean, but what I meant was, I think the appearance of the random Stormcloak soldier might be as a result of that one guy (The one you have to give the false orders to in one of the quests?) and perhaps its the games way of trying to reconcile that fact. (Lets face it - games are INCREDIBLY complicated pieces of code. Sometimes they do REALLY bizarre things! But yeah, I figure you're right - its a leftover from the Whiterun battle. As for the legendary weapons - it makes sense. I think the reason the bug exists is because 99% of players will keep the unique items as "momentos" or some such :) Glad you liked the commentary though :D TimeoinSay G'DayView my workSkyrim To-Do List 10:28, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

The chanting in the soundtrack (SKYRIM) Edit

Hey man, was wondering if you could type to me the lyrics you hear in the chanting for me @ 0:24-0:47 ish

It's a certain theme for when you fight. Dagoth11 (talk) 00:34, January 25, 2012 (UTC)

I really don't know. I tried to hear what they say, but i don't hear it. I also cannot find it on the internet, sorry. Maybe you should contact someone who knows more about the Dovah language, i really don't know much about it, just thinks like fus ro dah ;) Kennyannydenny (talk) 10:22, January 25, 2012 (UTC)

Lolol darn :V
I hear like, "Ald ahad. See ven no see, see ven nos" but I don't know for sure. Thanks anyway though! Are there any other mods on here I could possibly ask?Dagoth11 (talk) 12:56, January 25, 2012 (UTC)
I guess if someone knows, it could be Timeoin. He is this wiki's big daddy and plays the elder scrolls series since morrowind if i'm correct. Maybe he knows... Kennyannydenny (talk) 13:02, January 25, 2012 (UTC)
Link to him for me?Dagoth11 (talk) 16:14, January 28, 2012 (UTC)
Aks him here. Kennyannydenny (talk) 17:42, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

Hello there! Your opinion is requested at Forum:CT:Categorization of the wiki. Love to hear from ya! :) --— Deyvid Petteys (bother \ stalk) 12:00, February 6, 2012 (UTC)

i had an idea about a weapon of the week for the skyrim wiki can you see what u could do about it

Delete Pages Edit

hello, quick question, how do you delete pages? i found a double and want to delete it.

thx, Wizcharles5 (talk) 17:11, February 19, 2012 (UTC)

You can't. Only moderators can delete pages. If you found two pages on the same subject, use this template. If you think an article should be deleted, use this template. But don't forget to give a reason if you think something should be deleted. --Kennyannydenny (talk) 17:21, February 19, 2012 (UTC)
Thx, if u wanna delete it, its Abandoned Shack, which is exactly like Abandoned Shack (Skyrim). The one without (Skyrim) shold be deleted.
Wizcharles5 (talk) 17:30, February 19, 2012 (UTC)
PS how do u become a moderator, probably with alot of edits right?
Well I'm no moderator so i can't. I'm a patroller, someone who looks out for vandalism on this wiki. I've nominated the pages for merging.
Becoming a moderator isn't done easily. You have to be a respected member, must have done a lot of edits, work for a long time here on the wiki and there must be need for another moderator. I don't know how you exactly become one, but i think our community has to vote about a person becoming a moderator. --Kennyannydenny (talk) 18:03, February 19, 2012 (UTC)

I know :D I've seen your good work on Special:NewPages :) As for how the console works - use the tilde (~) and it works the same as Oblivion and Skyrim do :) "tm" turns off the menu's, so is great for screenshots (I didnt know that when I went crazy with jpgs last year lol). Other than that - its good to see! Its much appreciated! :) TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 10:59, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

97th Post Edit

Hey this is my 97th edit ;). just wanted to say thx for ur help and all!!!

Thanks alot Wizcharles5 (talk) 23:49, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

No problem ;) --Kennyannydenny (talk) 10:01, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

Xbox tagEdit

Hello, Kennyannydenny. You have new messages at Flightmare's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} template.

Page DeletionEdit

I'm not sure what was going on either. I think it may be due to the preview thingy that is shown when requesting a page for deletion ... but either way, the page is now deleted. :) TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 22:33, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

ken, im doing the darkbrotherhood quest and didnt start with delayed burial. Will i still be able to get shadowmere? im lvl 10 woodelf. Thanks Dustin Mueller. Also a newb.

Dear Dustin, i guess you should still receive Shadowmere during the quest The Cure for Madness as a reward. As Delayed Burial is an optional primary quest, meaning you can skip the quest, you should still receive the horse. --Kennyannydenny (talk) 14:04, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

Locked PagesEdit

Honest answer? I'm not sure. Its something that Deyvid did a while back. Buuut ... I shall lower the locked status on those pages (more, if you see them). Apologies - I did not know about this issue until, well, now :) TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 11:45, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

The reason is because there are 2 levels of locked pages:
  1. sysop guys (Admins)
  2. registered users (everyone else).
That's why we as patrollers cant edit the sysop level ones. Jimeee (talk) 13:46, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I'm here just to tell you that, since you are a patroler, I think you should know that there is a troll I found a while ago, checking illusion spells, WE GOT A BRONIE OVER HERE, somewhere, plz find him and destroy him, to check his last known location (by me) check the "Vision of the Tenth Eye" page. IT'S HORRIBLE, I hope you have stomach for that :(, peace out

Will be taken care off, thanks for the warning! ;) --Kennyannydenny (talk) 19:32, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

Hey ... um, just wondering ... is Ra'kheran in any games other than Shivering Isles? Because if not, it should probably be renamed to just Ra'kheran. TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 00:15, April 11, 2012 (UTC) Never mind TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 00:17, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Kenny, I don't think we've spoken before but I'm Commander Faol. I just wanna say what a great job you're doing for the wiki. As I'm the one that came up with MOTM I feel I should say well done on being MOTM. Keep up the good work. Commander Faol (talk) 17:08, May 6, 2012 (UTC)

Sam Edit

Dear K&D, im level 36 and have been trying to find Sam G to start A night to remember quest and so far no luck. Please help. Sincerely Dustin ( 23:41, May 15, 2012 (UTC))

Dear user, Sam Guevenne should be found in any tavern inside any captital city after reaching level 14. If you are level 36, he should be around any of the taverns. I found Sam inside The Bannered Mare in Whiterun. You could look there. Otherwise i would suggest going through all taverns in all major cities. I hope you'll find him... --Kennyannydenny (talk) 16:29, May 16, 2012 (UTC)

K&D, still no Sam G anywhere. Wonder if its a bug? 01:06, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

You could always check the Braidwood Inn, Four Shields Tavern, Nightgate Inn, Old Hroldan Inn, Vilemyr Inn, Frostfruit Inn and the Sleeping Giant Inn. These are the inns where he could be besides the ones in the main cities. If he's also not there, it could be a bug. He's usually in the Inn you where last, right before becoming level 14. Do you know which Inn you were last before hitting level 14? --Kennyannydenny (talk) 08:59, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks again for the help. I think near Falkreath as about that time i was workin on dark brother hood quest. Shadowmere is uber! 23:38, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

No problem, and yes, Shadowmere is a great horse. Succes with your game! --Kennyannydenny (talk) 19:19, May 19, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Kenny, I thought i'd let you know are you are one of the few people who are quite active these days, but it's now official policy to remove all overarching categories like "Locations" and "Males" etc. We has a talk on IRC and it's finally being phased out so you can freely remove these categories on sight. Thanks!

Jimeee (talk) 11:18, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I'll remove them when i see them. --Kennyannydenny (talk) 20:58, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

Dude, please go easy!Edit

In regards to you recent Bloodmoon articles. It's great that you are helping out in this area, but the articles are reading more and more like you know what. Such as the opening line for Varstaad Caves.

If you must use it as a source, please re-word it suffficiently otherwise someone will notice sooner or later. Thanks.

Jimeee (talk) 10:03, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry Jimeee, i have bloodmoon myself but also used you know what. I'll rewrite the articles. --Kennyannydenny (talk) 10:14, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

"Special Commands"Edit

Hey there! What did you type in to create the "Image is of poor quality" and "This article is in immediate need of attention" on the Whiterun Dead Guard page? Would be helpful to know for next time. Dovahfeyn (talk) 10:16, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Dear user Dovahfeyn, you can use the template {{Attention|reason why/explanation}} to create the message "This article is in immediate need of attention", and you can use the template {{Imagequality}} to create the message "Image is of poor quality". I hope i helped. If you have any more questions, please ask. I'm always glad to help someone. Kennyannydenny (talk) 10:20, June 6, 2012 (UTC)
Got it, thanks very much! Dovahfeyn (talk) 10:23, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Question Edit

My friend is playing skyrim on the PS3. Shadowmere was left outside a dungeon. He went in, saved, and quit the game. The next day he finished the dungeon, came out, and horse was gone. Hes looked everywhere for him. Now ever horse he buys doesnt say the name he gives it, it just says horse. After fast traveling the horse just walks off. Any clue how to resolve this problem? 23:02, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

Dear user, I really don't know why Shadowmere wasn't there when he left the dungeon. I know that after you've completed the dungeon, Shadowmere will appear at one of the Stables of capital cities when you enter one. If your friend bought another horse after not being able to find Shadowmere, i not sure if your friend can ever get his Shadowmere back. As for the other part of the question: It shouldn't be possible to rename a horse. Shadowmere and Frost are the only two horses ingame with an special name. The rest are just named "Horse". As for why they walk away, horses usually walk away when the horse is not owned by the player. The horse tries to return to the place it was obtained from. This usually only happens when the horse is stolen or when the horse is taken legally (by being a friend of the owner) but when not bought. If he bought the horse from the owner, i don't know why it's walking away, there is unfortunately nothing you can do about it. If he obtained the horse otherwise, you now know why it walks away. So i then suggest really buying the horse. Sorry that you can't do anything about it, but i hope this helped explaining some things. --Kennyannydenny (talk) 18:31, June 14, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Image needed with explanationEdit

If I understand, you're looking for a way to use the image needed template, but you want to provide a reason why it's there, similar to how the {{attention}} template works. Is that right? If that's the case, I can modify the image template to accept a reason, but not require one (in the event that one isn't given, for obvious reasons). HaLo2FrEeEk Here I am! 21:27, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

It's done. You can now use the image template like this:
{{image|reason goes here :D}}
And it'll add that reason to the output. If you don't include a reason, it will work as it used to. HaLo2FrEeEk Here I am! 21:48, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Those robes you are redirecting are not generic random items in the same way "Orcish Boots of Fire Abatement" are. All robes and hoods are not randomly generated loot - from novice to master. See

We could do something like list all Novice Robes on one page, or all Alteration Robes in one place to cut down on pages.

Jimeee (talk) 11:33, June 25, 2012 (UTC)

Ok. I'll see what i can do. Good that you warned me! --Kennyannydenny (talk) 11:36, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
