I'm honestly surprised this ended up being a major issue. I noticed some of the "Farkas's" had been corrected, and some had not. I looked up the usage to verify which was the correct term, and changed them all to be consistent. I did not mean anything personal by it, and I apologize if if was taken as such. That's fine man,

You keep doing what you got to and I'll keep doing what I have to; have a Merry Christmas (as Stannis said in GoT - "do your duty"). (^-^)

P.S I'm not sure if you exactly noticed, yet I haven't been on that much lately and just hop on now and then just cause (I got a sweet job comin' my way, a big move set and I'm getting results with my bodybuilding as evidenced by my avatar - I hope you're gettin' much results too on your end) - so this'll def be breeze straight through for me. TheOracle7 (talk) 18:53, December 25, 2016 (UTC)

X-Mutant Categories Question?

Would you send a massage to any else's talk page if they did what I was doing or is it just me that gets these messages telling to stop what I am doing?

I what to know because if you any one else on this wiki is allowed to do it than what is wrong with me?

Please give me answer. - X-Mutant (talk) 3:50 December 28, 2016 (UTC)

Edit warring

Hey Korra,

Thank you for spotting Sports' edits. We have actually talked about it, which can be found on both of out talkpages. Matter of fact is that what he claims is, well, wrong. There's nothing to really question about it. Sports' claim is that the Empire accepted the free Talos worship during the Markarth Incident from the start, in fact, he even claims that they proposed it. Even if that were true, he's using the wrong source.

He claims that dialogue with Cedran proves it. But nothing on Cedran's page even hints to what Sports says. I've informed him of this, but instead of admitting that he was wrong and allowing me to undo the edits, he keeps reverting them.

Hope this helps, check our talkpages if you want more details. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 22:15, December 29, 2016 (UTC)

I can agree with that, yes. But there's a difference between interpetation and just claiming something that's not even implied. And, as you said, when it is multiple sources, it can be argued. But this is one single source, a source that doesn't even imply what Sports claims.

No hate, just pointing that out. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 23:19, December 29, 2016 (UTC)

Whiterun

There's a big difference between is and was.

Using was implies the city no longer exists.

Example: "She lives near the Big Ben." -Lives, alive.

"She lived near the Big Ben." -Lived, either dead or moved elsewhere. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 00:51, March 2, 2017 (UTC)

It WAS built, not IS built. It's not being built or going to be built again, it WAS built. Past tense. Saying Whiterun is built around the Skyforge is like implying a Whiterun is designated to be built around a Skyforge. It's like saying a cactus is planted in a pot vs a cactus was planted in a pot. A lives/lived example is not the same as is vs was. RenzXVI // Talk  // Chat // 01:04, Thu 2 March 2017 (UTC)
Jauffre, this is just embarrassing. You're trying to teach a native English speaker their native language when you're what, barely out of secondary school? -"Is" built describes the way in which the city is currently: ie surrounds Jorvaskrr. -"Was" built refers to the action of building. As that is a completed action in the past, you use "was" They are both 100% correct and mean marginally different things. Don't mess up someones edit (you reversed an image fix), because of your misconception of English. And don't go and leave snarky messages about it either. Bronkiin (talk) 01:09, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
Cool it. The sentence here can actually be interpreted in more than one way. Both are correct, but have different meanings. "Is" references the actual structure of the city; how it is literally on a mountain. "Was" references the historical construction of the city. —Atvelonis (talk) 01:35, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
I'm sure my two cents are less than welcome but there is another thing to keep in mind here. Typically when referring to literature, only the present tense is used, unless something happened in the past at the point of the story to which you are referring. For example: Huck Finn makes his daring escape now that he has freed himself from his father's cabin. This style is often applied to game events, as they are story-like in nature. This keeps the action always in the present tense (think about how the story exists at all points simoultaneously as pieces of the whole, such that, in a book, you could always turn to the same page and the events will be the same).
There are also consideration for temporaneity. For example: "Huck Finn lived with Widow Douglass [implied: until his father took him away];" as opposed to "Huck Finn lives with Widow Douglass until he runs away and is taken away by his father". Both are correct depending on the standpoint. The former option allows that, by the time Huck is on the river, he could explain to the King and the Duke that he has done these things previously. Every point in time in the story is its own unique and valid perspective.
Just some food for thought! DivyItUp (talk) 01:44, March 4, 2017 (UTC)

Bronk

Korra,

This goes back to before the Whiterun issue. Bronkiin has made it some kind of weird tradition to mock me, or try to invalidate me, or something that comes off as such, whenever he can. I'm simply sick of it, so I demand answers. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 14:13, March 2, 2017 (UTC)

"Everyone", sure, if that's what you want to believe... If you want to drop it, then stop replying, you're the one who followed me to Bronkiin's talkpage and now you commented on mine. Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 22:46, March 2, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Ref names

Hi Kora,

I'm sorry for the ref names. I can see how it's unprofessional and confusing for rookie editors. Whenever I do that, it's just me having fun with the source editor. To me, as long as the ref names match, I can put whatever I want as the name. I won't do it again and if I come across another reference with an unrelated name, then I'll change it. Thanks for letting me know. --Vincentius1 (talk) 23:29, March 3, 2017 (UTC)

Column Help

Hey I'm having some trouble alphabetizing the  Online : Locations article. I don't know what's going on with the source doe, but every time I reorder it, it just reverts when I save the page. I tried replacing the columns with tables and the whole thing got screwy. Any advice would be surely appreciated!! DivyItUp (talk) 01:07, March 4, 2017 (UTC)
