Re: Pictures' Duplications - My apoligize[]

That's ok, no one knows all the rules at the beginning. One important thing to remember is that images should be PNG whenever possible. We have a guidelines page for uploading files here if you ever need to check something, or you can ask me any questions if it is not mentioned on there. —Atvelonis (talk) 16:44, August 12, 2016 (UTC)

Unused Images[]

Hello, I noticed that this image was unused and uncategorized. If you're going to upload an image, could you please make sure it'll be used on a page, and could you also categorize it? Also, for the copyright templates, we use {{Bethimage}} for images from the games in the main series (Legends included) and {{Zenimage}} for ESO images, please and thanks. --DarkVaultBoy (talk) 23:03, January 10, 2017 (UTC)

I believe that this image was taken from UESP, as it is the exact same size and looks perfectly identical. Although it is legal to use UESP's content on this wiki (when attributed), we do not encourage this, and content that was originally uploaded on the UESP will usually be deleted upon sight. Take screenshots from in-game or from the Creation Kit only, please. —Atvelonis (talk) 00:17, January 14, 2017 (UTC)

Unused Images 2 : Answer from Living Septim[]

Hello DarkVaultBoy,

Since the recent sharing of the images between the Wikias French and English, I didn't know that the French Wikia images were also added among the Wikia English images. I added the "Rusty Mace" image in order to add it to a page on our Wikia that doesn't exist on yours, whose here is the article's link :

I humbly apologize if it has been badly referenced.

In any case, forgive me for my mistake, and as a French contributor, I apologize also for my very bad English :-)

Good night to you and maybe to soon on the Wikias !

Re: Unused Images : Answer from Living Septim[]

Sorry, I have no idea how the wiki sharing even works, so the thought that that could've been the problem didn't cross my mind, anyways, happy editing and sorry for the inconvenience. --DarkVaultBoy (talk) 23:31, January 10, 2017 (UTC)

Interwiki links[]

Hi Septim,

I just wanted to give you a heads up that the "L" in <--Interwiki links--> is supposed to be lowercase, and shouldn't be changed to an uppercase "L." That way, it remains consistent with how it is seen in source on other pages. -Kora Stormblade (talk) 22:36, April 23, 2017 (UTC)

As stated above the "L" in links is supposed to be LOWERCASE. Stop changing changing it to uppercase. It is annoying reverting your edits. The Cat Master (talk) 23:06, April 23, 2017 (UTC)
We're not joking. STOP! The Cat Master (talk) 23:15, April 23, 2017 (UTC)
Hello to both of you,
I'm really sorry, I have not seen your warnings on my profile because I have not received notifications as I get on the French Wikia. From now on, I will not add L majusucules as you requested.
Please accept my humble apologies, I really did not do it intentionally.
So, I wish you a pleasant evening both of you and I tell you to the next on the Wikia. Sincerely, LivingSeptim.
P.S. : Forgive me for my bad english, i'm a french contributor on the French Wikia.

Hey LivingSeptim,

Just wanted to let you know that the description you added to the gallery image on the Cutter article really isn't acceptable. It's a little weird, honestly. Remember that we're an encyclopedia, so if you could make sure you use professional phrasing next time, that would be great. Thanks,—CarloV3r (talk) 19:56, May 13, 2017 (UTC)

Hello CarloV3r,
Sorry for this description error. I would pay more attention next time. I promise.
Good night to you and maybe to soon on the Wikias !
LivingSeptim (talk) 23:18, May 13, 2017 (UTC)
Also, I've just deleted several of the Dwemer-related files you uploaded yesterday because they're already on the wiki. Please make sure you check to see if we've already got the images before uploading them next time. Thanks,—CarloV3r (talk) 08:25, May 15, 2017 (UTC)

Re:PNG images and characters images[]

The PNG rule only applies to screenshots, because the quality of uncompressed screenshots are actually better. There's no point in converting the Dwemer images to png if the quality doesn't improve, which it doesn't. The ones we currently have are fine.—CarloV3r (talk) 17:39, May 15, 2017 (UTC)

Can you please stop adding "Hold" to the Pale in infoboxes. It's not necessary. Thank you The Cat Master (talk) 20:16, September 17, 2017 (UTC)

Infobox variables[]

Hey, you don't actually have to remove unused infobox variables like you've done here. Having them all the same, regardless of whether there is actually content there, makes it a lot easier to do infobox-related maintenance. Thanks. —Atvelonis (talk) 22:35, May 3, 2018 (UTC)

Morrowind character class links[]

I noticed the changes you have been making to Morrowind character class links. I just want to let you know that changing [[Battlemage (Morrowind)|Battlemage]] to [[Character Classes (Morrowind)#Battlemage|Battlemage]] for example is unnecessary. The Cat Master (talk) 14:47, May 11, 2018 (UTC)

Redirects are actually very useful. For example, these particular redirects allow us to track the links to section headers more easily than the direct links, because Special:WhatLinksHere can be used instead of AutoWikiBrowser or something similar. We can also change the direction of the redirect with only one edit, whereas changing the direction of every single link pointing to a section header would take potentially hundreds of edits. —Atvelonis (talk) 22:24, May 12, 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed you added Deshaan as the region for a few articles, such as this one. I haven't played Morrowind in years and years but I don't think Deshaan was introduced as a region until ESO, so it probably shouldn't be on Morrowind articles at all—one of the places on Regions (Morrowind) is likely more fitting. Thanks. —Atvelonis (talk) 23:20, June 2, 2018 (UTC)

Infobox variables[]

Hi LivingSeptim, thanks for the edits lately. Just a quick note: you don't need to remove empty variables from the infoboxes of articles. Keeping them there actually makes things a little bit easier for me when I have to do infobox-related tasks with AkulakhanBot. So if you see an empty variable you can just ignore it. —Atvelonis (talk) 01:02, November 14, 2018 (UTC)

Alynu Aralen[]

Hello, welcome back to the wiki again. Just a quick note, that on the Construction Set there is no such rank for the "House Telvanni" faction. Also this particular character is not in this faction. Only the quest lore suggests that she is. It's still fine to make it clear from the lede/body that she's a member of the House, though. --Rupuzioks (talk) 21:35, November 23, 2019 (UTC)

Line break factoring[]

Thanks for your recent contributions. I would just like to ask you not to remove line breaks that are typically present after nominal templates under the 'Appearances' section and before end of page templates such as {{Refs}} or {{Stub}}. Having a line break makes no difference to the appearance of the page and serves to make it easier to read for editors in distinguishing at a glance where appearances end and end of page templates begin. As such, there is no reason to remove them and it is marginally better for editors if they are remain present. Thank you also for the addition of interwiki links to pages, they are immensely helpful.

Player characters[]

Hi LivingSeptim, thank you for the edits lately as usual. I just wanted to note quickly in regard to this edit that we prefer the gender-neutral pronoun "they" to refer to the player character (e.g. the Dragonborn), rather than "him." While historically the male pronoun is the default one in English when someone's gender is unclear, it is more inclusive to readers to keep it ambiguous. "They" is usually plural in English, but can also be singular in this context. —Atvelonis (talk) 04:52, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
