Welcome, Mechazod!

Skyrim Logo Large

Hello Mechazod, welcome to the Elder Scrolls Wiki! We're building a collaborative source of information for The Elder Scrolls, and we need your help!

We saw you making some changes to our articles and thank you for it. We hope you choose to further this project, and we hope to see you around in the future. If you choose to stay, here are some links to help you out:

I hope you enjoy editing here! If you have any questions, see the help pages or ask one of our administrators.

ESO Articles

Hey Mechazod and welcome to the Wiki!

First of all, we are in desperate need of editors adding ESO articles, as you have done with Ozzacha and Phynaster's Stride so thank you very much! We currently have only couple of editors working regularly on our ESO content, so it would be great if you could stick around.

There are a few things to note with regards to adding images to articles:

1) For maps, our policy is to not use images which have been 'drawn' on in editing. I.e. closer to this , than  this .

2) It also helps for the images to be named, simply for purposes of identification and categorisation. So "Vinuin.png" instead of "Screenshot 001239".

3) Finally, all screenshots taken (of an NPC, location, map etc...) must have the UI hidden. This can be done on PC by editing "controls" in-game. Simply select the key which you would like, when pressed, to disable the UI.

Hope this helps and happy editing,

Regards,

Interwiki links

Hi Mecha, please be more careful when you are changing around interwiki links like you did here. Akkuh regularly adds and fixes interwiki links (which point to pages on TESWiki in other languages) and knows which is correct. So just be more careful around these. Also I wanted to thank you for your recent work with all the books—you've done excellently. —Atvelonis (talk) 05:55, November 11, 2015 (UTC)

Images from UESP

Hello Mechazod, I'm sorry to inform you but That guy.jpg used on the Aklief page has been nominated for Deletion. The image comes from the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages and is not allowed here as part of an agreement we made with them years back stating that both wikis cannot use each others licensed images.

You're not in any trouble as I believe you weren't aware, so I'm just letting you off with a notice. Also, when uploading an image, please title it properly so that it may define the subject it depicts, as part of our Image policy. Thank you in advance. ☞ Rim < Talk | Updates | Edits > 21:48, November 28, 2015 (UTC)

Reminder About Adding Images

Just a reminder, you don't need to use [[File:*]] tags around the images you're adding to the templates used in article pages. The templates handle that internally. All you need is the file name and that's it.

Also, remember to use the {{Information}} template to provide at least some basic info about the image, plus the appropriate {{Online*Image}} template, such as {{OnlineLocationImages}} or {{OnlineMapImages}}, to categorize and copyright the image correctly.

If you'd like an easy copy'n'paste to use, you can find one on my sandbox. Just remember to remove the inappropriate {{Online*Image}} templates, leaving only the appropriate one.
