Second person[edit source]

Hi NCSaint, good work with the edits lately. Just remember that you should generally not use second person ("you," referring to the reader) on the mainspace as you did here, and should instead use third person ("they," "the Dragonborn," etc., or word it so that you don't have to use those terms at all). The exception to this rule is in the walkthrough section of a quest article, such as "The Queen's Decree." Let me know on my talk page if you have any questions. Thanks! —Atvelonis (talk) 21:44, May 3, 2018 (UTC)

I've fixed these errors where I've spotted them, but the volume of edits in Special:RecentChanges every day means it's likely I've missed a few (or a bunch). So it wouldn't hurt to double-check, just in case. —Atvelonis (talk) 18:23, May 4, 2018 (UTC)

Strange word[edit source]

In an edit you made to the Cronvangr Cave article you used the word "kited." ("The vampire enemies in the cabin area can be kited toward the entrance to this area.") Is that a real word, and if so, what does it mean? The Cat Master (talk) 07:27, May 5, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for your reply. Even though I'm a gamer, I don't follow the slang. I was aware some like agro for example, but kite is not a term I new about until the other day, even though I use tactics that fit the definition quite often. Also, I noticed your question to Atvelonis about Notable items in location pages. That section is really only supposed to be for any rare, unique, or quest items that may appear at the location. We don't consider containers that only contain random loot notable. I usually remove that stuff when I catch it. I personally don't mind mention of the containers in walktroughs. I hope that helps. Editing My Talk Messages[edit source]

Please don't. Thanks. DaBarkspawn (talk) 15:01, May 7, 2018 (UTC)

...And deleting them is worse. DaBarkspawn (talk) 16:41, May 7, 2018 (UTC)
Hi NCSaint, the edit history shows that you indeed made a spacing change to DaBarkspawn's post, but this could have easily been an accident. I am going to assume good faith here. That said, removing talk page messages is considered bad form, and is only really allowed when a message is breaking the Terms of Use. You are free to archive your talk page with the ArchiveTool feature; messages just have to be preserved somehow. —Atvelonis (talk) 00:32, May 8, 2018 (UTC)
