Re:Rules of the Wik[edit source]

Ned, first rule: Do not remove content from your talkpage unless it's personal business and not about the wikia. Other rules are easy to access in the links above at the top. Like The Elder Scrolls Wiki:Policies and guidelines and The Elder Scrolls Wiki:Style and formatting. Look through them from time to time. You will remember it in time and if not, just go back and have another look. :) —EbonySkyrim Message! 22:17, February 8, 2014 (UTC)

Removed delete template[edit source]

May I ask you why did you remove the delete template in this edit? I fail to see a purpose behind that article. —Sky Above,Voice Within · Show thy Voice! 02:38, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

Never mind. I'll put the delete template back. I just saw that the admin liked the page, that's all Ned Tp- Contribs

Oh, okay. Timeoin makes some weird stuff sometimes, but that article was created a long time ago. —Sky Above,Voice Within · Show thy Voice! 03:21, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

Online stubs[edit source]

Hi Ned, Please don't add stub templates to Online articles. Since the game has not been released yet, there is not enough information to be added to most of the Online articles. This would every single one would be a stub, and that is pointless. Stubs should be added to articles that are missing important information, and since Online articles have all the information possible in them, stubs shouldn't be added.
Sorry, that was quite confusing. Just say if you don't understand. Thanks. > Flugsmith ~ talk // contributions ~ 13:26, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

Redlinks[edit source]

Please stop removing the redlinks on the Crafting (Online) page. As I have already explained, they are there to represent that pages will be made for them in the future. - Erik the Mad (talk) 22:21, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

You mention that Blacksmithing in ESO is covered in the Smithing page... Except it isn't. I can't see any of the information I've posted anywhere else. Please elaborate.

Iwrestlebears (talk) 22:24, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

It feels awkward to have the information from a completely different game tacked on to the end. I feel as if new players may misinterpret some of the Skyrim information as ESO information. Sorry if I sound pushy, but I don't see why there can't be an ESO Blacksmithing page, as it will contain a lot of information that is irrelevant to the single player series. Iwrestlebears (talk) 22:45, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

That would be great. It just seems strange that there are all of these skills and perks that are exclusive to ESO and then suddenly there's information that isn't really relevant at all mixed in with it. Iwrestlebears (talk) 22:51, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

Updated with new information[edit source]

Sources for ESO are mandatory? Crap. I'm getting all of my information from the public beta released a few days ago. Figured I'd be helpful and add some information for curious players. Iwrestlebears (talk) 23:09, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. Also remeber to add five tildes (~|~|~|~|~)without the |, at the end of your signature, it adds the date and time of the post :). > Flugsmith ~ talk // contributions ~ 21:52, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

Edits[edit source]

Ned, there is no need for some of your edits you do on every article that have just been edited. You don't need to add the race of a character on the location page for example. Like the ones Ghost Anubis just added. It isn't mentioned on any other house location. —EbonySkyrim Message! 16:26, February 14, 2014 (UTC)

Re:Hirtel[edit source]

On the wiki you can't be too specific with these things, it's necessary to make sure everyone understands since someone might not. If they had not played Oblivion they have thought you were talking about a Refugee camp outside of Anvil. In additon, please don't revert in edits in the future for making stuff more specific, the revert tools are there to get rid of Vandalism or incorrect edits, not for everything. Thanks. I am Sylar (talk) 18:02, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Deleting Messages[edit source]

Ned, please don't delete messages on your talk page, those are records on conversations had. If you keep doing that, it might cause you get a ban. I am Sylar (talk) 18:12, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Multiple edits[edit source]

Ned, please stop making multiple edits to the same page in a short amount of time. Other members have reported you making disruptive edits, and it is getting out of hand. If you are going to make a lot of changes on one article, you should make the changes all at the same time. How many edits did you make to Ashlands that were minor? Please, just take a moment to preview your changes before submitting so this can be avoided, otherwise it does make it look like badgehunting. Thanks. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 19:52, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Badge hunting[edit source]

Please, stop with the badge hunting. It's quite obvious that you are badge hunting, because you're doing tons of minor edits to pages which don't even need them. And please don't delete this message like you did with the other messages left on your talk page. AngryEnclaveSoldier (talk) 20:55, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Archiving messages[edit source]

Ned, you also need to stop with the early archival of your messages. The purpose of archiving messages is if there are too many messages on your talk page. It's not to hide messages from others view. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 21:02, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Block discussion[edit source]

Please, Tomb, I'm only adding topics to my archive! If there's another way to do this, then please tell me. Also, I am not badgehunting, and I don't know where AES got that idea.

Please, just give me another chance. I'll tone down my edits and only make them if there are spelling mistakes or missing information Ned Tp- Contribs21:32, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Fine,I'll delete 'archive 2' and restore topics. I didn't know that was against wiki policy. Nobody warned me until 10 mins ago!Ned Tp- Contribs21:40, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Ok, Ill tone my edits down even more. I'll also pretty much ignore the recent activity box from now on, and only revert vandalism and correct spelling and major grammar errors. Also, I only archive messages so I dont have to scroll down to look at them; Im lazy.Ned Tp- Contribs21:43, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

PS, if you're going to keep me blocked for 3 days, block my other account: Ned1230Two. Ned Tp- Contribs21:46, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Also, exactly what is the exact amount of edits I'm supposed to do? I'd like to know. Ned Tp- Contribs21:48, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Don't block me again then im ruined! :O Ned Tp- Contribs21:49, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Ned, none of the messages were posted 10 minutes ago. There was plenty time given to read the messages. You'll just have to wait out the 3 day block, and when you return you can show that you have improved your editing ways. As for your other account, you should not have 2 accounts on the wiki, as that is consider sockpuppetry. Only two or more accounts are allowed if they are for separate people in the household.
I don't know how you cannot see that your edits have been disruptive as many others have noticed this. Disruptive edits such as changing one word with the exact same meaning as another is counter productive and makes no difference what word is used, so why change it? You have made edits right after someone else has edited the article. That can seem like you are following every person that makes a recent edit. It would be different if you made significant changes to an article after someone had recently edited it, instead of something so minor. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 21:55, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

Tomb, apparently my extensive work on Morrowind characters pages today made everyone hate me, but all I did was take admin's advice on both things, archiving messages and adding info to articles were both suggested by Ebony. I'll stop making people think I'm stalking them, too (I just do recent edits because I can't find anything better to do, though I've found a new project, and no, it's not against wiki policy, it's adding ref ids, adding where NPCs live in Morrowind and creating pages of Morrowind things). Also, I don't understand the rule about 'flooding the recent activity box.' Many of these rules you have here on the wiki are not written down in the Guidelines. I dont see why I should be punished for things when I haven't done anything wrong. I just took advice from Ebony...add info when you see it's missing from pages. Just because I edit extensively doesn't mean it's not productive sometimes. I've reported vandals, succesfully nominated a patroller (FWP) and sometimes, I really do know my stuff, like the many pages I've created. Please consider this. If you still think I should still take a 3 day break, just say so, but please respond.Ned Tp- Contribs01:06, February 16, 2014 (UTC)

Also, why would I want to hide positive feedback? Doesn't that sound stupid to you?. I will stop changing words too, unless it's something like 'a Orc,' which is actually incorrect. I'm just anxious and addicted.

I'd also like to know about all the users who complained, besides Ghost Anubis (I already said sorry, alot), so that I can apologize to them for any wrongs I did them.

Please respond. I can't post on your talk page but if I could I would right now.

Please notice this. Anyone. If someone thats not admin sees this first, please tell Tomb; if you can't get ahold of her, just tell another one of the admin to post an answer on my talk page. Please it's all I ask, I just want to know the final verdict.

The users that reported you can reveal themselves if they wish. I didn't mention anything about the new pages you created in my message. It's basic wiki etiquette that you should take into consideration when editing on this wiki or any wiki. Serve your 3 days block and don't continue to ask me to remove it, or it will be longer. Let the time pass and as I said before, when you come back you can show that you have improved your editing ways. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 01:41, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
Not to discuss my block, I'm done with that, but can you talk to Alduin1996? He's been saying negative, mean, rude things about me:

"Thank you for blocking the user. Honestly between you and me I hope he learns his lesson in the future. Maybe next time (if there is a next time) give him a 3 month ban. Best regards"

I've only though I've only reverted one edit of his, and it was weird: 'Sven will not attack her' on Hilde. Personally, I think he's badgehunting, based on his recent edits. Please talk to this user for me. That would be great. Thanks. Ned Tp- Contribs01:55, February 16, 2014 (UTC)

I will open up and say I was the first of this incident to report you, I did so because you kept removing messages on your talk page. And when I tried told you to stop, you moved my message and didn't respond. That in my book is a red flag when you deliberately break the rules and don't discuss it at all with me if you have an objection. So, as Tomb said, serve you're ban and change your attitude when you come back. Also, Alduin isn't mean things to you by being happy you're blocked, since you did break rules on the Wiki. I am Sylar (talk) 02:23, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
Ok, It's just a little creepy how some dude I don't know at all is ragging on me all the time.Ned Tp- Contribs02:34, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
You apparently still don't understand why you were blocked. I think you should take a break from Wikia for some time. AngryEnclaveSoldier (talk) 21:15, February 17, 2014 (UTC)

Re:Bow Online[edit source]

Ned, that's not Badgehunting. The sentence sounded too redundent, so I fixed it. One word edits, though they may not be the most instantly helpful edits, do increase the pages quality. If I made multiple one word edits on that page, I could see why you would think it's Badgehunting. But just making a one word edit (espcailly if it's relevant) is NOT badgehunting. I am Sylar (talk) 00:25, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
After thinking about this, I really don't see the point in having it say "Skill Line". Never once are skills ever referred to as that, so I feel that removing it is necessary, as it's an improper name. You do actually when writing these pages appeal to lowest denominator of people, that way everyone can understand the information it's trying to say. You know? I am Sylar (talk) 04:58, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Sorry you feel that way[edit source]

Listen Ned, it's nothing personal against you. The way I see it is this, I don't have a problem with people editing pages I edit, or pages I created. I encourage it if I had made mistakes on them, which in all honesty, I do sometimes or if they have information to add. For instance, I didn't know the Ashlanders category existed until you added it to some of the pages I made. Not all of your edits are bad edits, & I don't think anybody here wants you to stop editing. I don't anyways, you make good edits sometimes, it's just that you would edit a page immediately after a page has been edited. Or after one has been created, many times with edits that really were, as Tomb said counter-productive. So with that said, I'm past all of this, just try not to do that so much, & I do want you to edit still. Just don't make those disruptive edits, & you will be perfectly fine :) --Ghost Anubis (talk) 04:46, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Stop reverting[edit source]

Ned, please stop reverting edits that make the pages have more clear information. That helps readers understand the content in the pages better, ones who don't know the Elder Scrolls. Hi Ned, I saw your message on Tombs page. First, don't expect her to reply soon, she has gone out of town and she is taking a short break from the Wiki. Second, I don't dislike you.. whatever did you get that idea from? I haven't had time to to be all over here as I also play another game that is very interesting. Third, that speculation you removed from the Flesh Atronach you could have moved to the page talkpage. That's where speculations should go. Re: Please help me[edit source]

First, I am not saying anything about you behind your back, anything I say on here, anyone can read, and I'm sure someone is reading this message even though it's not for them. I have nothing to hide, so it doesn't bother me who's reading it, nor do I have any reason or desire to talk about others behind their back.

If you are looking for ways to improve yourself on the wiki and have better understanding with others, then you first need address why certain conflicts arise. You mentioned in your message to me that "Numerous others have shown dislike for you behind your back". Have you wondered why that might be, or, if it is even true? Are you assuming that people are talking about you? If you say it's more than one person, then ask yourself why that might be. What actions or reactions do you give people when you write them a message or word an edit summary. When a new user makes an edit that isn't following wiki guidelines and policies, are you being helpful in your message, explaining why it wasn't right, and pointing them to the editing policies? Does your message come across as assuming good faith or do you immediately think they are being unproductive on purpose? More often than not, a hostile message is going to receive a hostile response. So, I would suggest that you read a message that you have written to someone and apply it as if someone were giving you that message. How would it make you feel the way it was worded? Was it helpful, not helpful, unclear, unpleasant, etc...? Golden Rule, treat others as you would want to be treated.

Despite what you might think of me, I am not out to get you or trying to make you feel bad. I don't go out of my way to grief anyone, I'm a grown woman with many responsibilities in my everyday life and the wiki is a just a sliver of it. The best thing to do now is move on and learn from these past events and continue anew with changes applied. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 23:23, March 10, 2014 (UTC)

Ned, please pay more attention to your edits. You constantly misplace "NPC Classes" to "Classes" and capitalize improper nouns, such as commoner. Well, while Zipper's work has certainly become susbtantial lately, I still have to watch his edits and pages for mistakes, which he still hasn't corrected. ESO books[edit source]

Hey Ned, we don't make book stubs, it makes the wiki look bad. All the pages you just created didn't do anything to help people trying to find out information on them. So now we have the pages, and people will go to them, only to see it completely blank. As you didn't add any content, or any locations. That's why the pages weren't created to begin with. Not until we have relevant information to the books. Please keep that in mind in the future thanks Ghost Anubis (talk) 01:56, March 16, 2014 (UTC)

ESO pages[edit source]

Ned, you shouldn't be creating pages that you know absolutely nothing about. You don't know their genders, nor do you know their races. You're only assuming, this is the second time today that I know of, you have inserted false information to pages. Ghost Anubis (talk) 19:07, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

If by sources you mean, Orcz, or ESOhead. Neither of them have any information regarding any of those characters. Only that they exist, no races or genders. Those are the only places online that have any information on them. You never were checking any sources, you just simply assumed & made the pages. If you want to create those pages, you should be getting ESO or played the beta. You haven't done either. It's what I call armchair editing, just copy & pasting from other websites. Ghost Anubis (talk) 19:23, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Help with Online characters[edit source]

Maybe there isn't that much on the characters yet to be found. I have no idea as I was not part of the Beta. The only thing I have done on the ESO articles is adding some of Tim's images and removing spaces when patrolling new pages. On the other matter, Ned... please stop explaining yourself. On the internet people don't really or rarely listen to something like that. And I talk of personal experience. Just move on and try not to be too obvious in the near future. Dont you play any of the games? Look at quests and see if you can inprove them, many Skyrim quests needs to be rewritten and also other Skyrim locations that have too much on the location article that really should be on the quest article instead. :) —EbonySkyrim Message! 07:48, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

I already told you why in the summary, because I linked to the canton itself, which happens to be in Vivec. Anybody can click the link & go to the page to find out where it is. It's a counter-productive edit & that's why I reverted it. Ȼǿᵰᵮẽᵲ ₲ħǿśᵵ Ⱥᵰᵾᵬĭᵴ Đẽẽᵭᵴ 11:29, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

Edit revertions[edit source]

Ned, please stop reverting edits so often. It's alright to do when someone makes something completely unproductive, but you've been doing it for nearly every edit for the past couple of hours. TombRaiser explained this well on Erik the Mad's talk page.

"Just to let you know, when you undo someones edit, it's important that you use the edit summary to address the reason it was reverted, and not the editor that made the edit. Everyone makes mistakes, so point them to the editing guidelines in a talk page message instead of calling them out in an edit summary. You should always assume good faith before jumping to conclusions. If you don't agree on something that was added, then you discuss it in the talk page of that article, or on the user's talk page, instead of taking it upon yourself that it is not needed.". So just please cut it back with the revertions, thanks. :) Zippertrain85 (talk) 21:19, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

Sure thing, people make mistakes. Just improve and you'll be fine. :) Zippertrain85 (talk) 01:24, March 30, 2014 (UTC)
