Quick Question Edit
Hey Timeoin/Archive 19. I was just going to ask an administrator or Bureaucrat a quick question and it seems you got the unlucky straw by being the first one I saw in wiki activity. Aha but I digress. Anyways, I was just wondering into relation of what the Elder Scrolls wiki does in concern with character images in their character infoboxes. Just wondering if for the infoboxes it's preferred for the image to be a full body shot, a head shot, or an upper body shot? Or does it even matter? Anyways, thanks in-advance. Yours Always; --The Old World Relics (talk/blog/contributions) 08:27, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
Hi there. Please, read the last section of User:Kennyannydenny talk page and take actions agains edit-war. The guy there behaves like an angry child and threathens people. Wharrgarbl (talk) 23:26, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
- -sigh- I hate repeating myself, as it makes me look like a jackass to keep arguing. However, once again, I need to contradict this user since he seems to be purposefully falsifying matters to try and get his way. The simple fact is, Wharrgarbl jumped into a debate that had nothing to do with him, threatening to have me banned as a vandal. He then proceeded to personally insult me on multiple other users' talk-pages, in which I warned him that further ad hominem against me would result me in getting a Sysop involved. Hope this clarifies matters. GarouxBloodline
Okay - correct me if I am wrong here. This has something to do with the Drarayne Thelas page, yes? If so - I actually know the issue. It is actually an Easter Egg (of sorts), and is named as such on the Oblivion page. See Easter Eggs (Oblivion). It has relevance on the Oblivion page (Arvena's one). I do not believe, however, that is should be added to the Morrowind page. If it is to be on either page, however, it should be re-written to mention it as an Easter Egg (as it is there to reference the quest in Morrowind). The fact that you are asked to save the rats instead of killing them (like in Morrowind, and quite possibly earlier games too (?) should be considered a joke on part of the developers. Timeoin•Say G'Day•View my work 23:44, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
I tried to tell him that it is an easter egg. That he needs to calm down. That he needs to stop threaten that girl. Can you tell him yourself who was wrong to stop this? Because he continues to threathen me, calling me vandal for making changes at my own user page :). It's funny, but sick anyway. Wharrgarbl (talk) 23:49, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
Okay - folks. Calm down please. This issue is one that has been blown waaaaay out of proportion. If i am reading it correctly, the issue is that Garoux believes it should be removed because as it was written, it seemed like a very vague link. (i.e. possible relation based on last name). It wasnt written like it was an easter egg. If it is written to say it as such, I believe (hopefully), both parties can be happy, and we can move on. That said - I am trying to be calm because my son has been screaming non-stop for the past 2 hours. Teething is not fun. Timeoin•Say G'Day•View my work 23:55, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
Exactly, Timeoin. And now that you have clarified matters, I am more than happy for it to stay. I mentioned several times that all I needed was a proper discussion or source. But all I got was this guy. As you can see on all of our talk-pages, he's becoming quite the belligerent type. Even going as far as removing most of my latest message to him and re-writing part of it. (It's quite childish, if you read it.) Anyways, I'm sorry this has gotten to this point. I am willing to drop it now. I'm just tired of being insulted by this guy. GarouxBloodline
So many words, so little sense in them. Anyway, I'm glad its finished. As for you, funny man, you was warned - stay away from my page and stop chasing that girl. And i'm asking you gently, here, making sure you will read it.
Updated with new information Edit
Thank you for that kind message Timeoin, I look forward to continuing my work on this Wiki and helping in any way I can, I am a huge Elder Scrolls fan and I personally consider myself a complete lore enthusiast and I really hope that I can pass on that knowledge here. I have begun editing minor articles, correcting errors, adding new information etc. but I am however concerned that a recent edit I made might endanger my existence on this Wiki, after editing an article I discovered a message left on my wall from a user known as Wharrgarbl, telling me that I had somehow ruined an article and I simply wanted to make it clear that it wasn't my intention and I shall do my best to become accustomed to the editting techniques used here. I plan on improving the morrowind articles and lore articles in the next few weeks and I hope we can work together soon. Until then, thank you, and again. Sorry. I am new to participating formally in this site. Even so I am quite curious on the editing process. I have had few connections with developers and artist pertaining to the Elder Scrolls and have asked an amount of questions of them and have some significant information that I would like to add to some pages. I am not so much content with surreptitiously altering a page so, instead, I will progressively notify an administrator of the page I am changing. In that I am telling the admins and/or the author of the page.
Another item that I would like to call attention to is that on a page (Skyrim: Last Dragonborn?) that I had created (attempting to make a forum subject please tell me how) I had last wrote another refutation to the previous answer you posted. I had not known if the page had been lost or if you had gotten offline, although I would still like to notify you.
Furthermore, with the information that I have obtained from Elder Scrolls developers I will be changing the "Bosmer (Skyrim)" page once permitted. Thank your.
A quick question Edit
Hi! I'm trying to find out about history of our ruTESwiki and suddenly I found out that in the beginning our wiki was a part of your TESwiki. It's strange, I don't know how to explain this fact but it is a fact.
Wiki Stars Edit
I am not sure whether or not you have seen this, but if not it is definitely worth looking at: http://community.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Cshannon/Introducing_Wikia_Stars. It is a community program honoring the hard-working people of major communities such as this one (which is mentioned in the blog, mind you) and I thought you guys would be interested to see it.
Link to your wiki Edit
Howdy. I've got a small wiki dedicated to "Dead is Dead" game play that was birthed from the dead is dead threads started over at the Bethesda Fallout and TES forums. Most of the editors that are showcasing their dead is dead characters at the wiki are either Fallout or TES players. I would like to feature a direct link on the main page there to the main page of this wiki, if that's OK with you. I would also like to know what image you might want me to use as an icon for the link. Perhaps your wordmark? I plan on putting it in the right rail, so 250px would fit nicely. Please let me know on my talk page here, so I get the message notification. Thanks for your consideration. (talk) 17:34, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
Dropping in to say g'day. Edit
hi! about an eventual dlc for skyrim (or it's a hint for the next tes?). i found that finishing the tel mythrin quests in dragonborn dlc the sorcerer gives your reward and admit the player in the telvani house, when you ask him about the meaning of this, he simply says that in few years he'll be back in vvardenfell and the player will be welcome, and have his place in the telvani noblesse... dlc(vvardenfell is huge)?... next platform game?? i don't know.
RE: Games You Have Completed Edit
Seriously? Can i download them from Bethesda's site or something? I first have to learn my exams, but after that, i could play them. Sounds fun. Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 13:51, January 14, 2013 (UTC)
- Also Daggerfall? I read it in the message of Bethesda when i tried to download arena, but when i downloaded daggerfall it didn't say i needed that dos thing. Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 14:10, January 14, 2013 (UTC)
- I can answer that myself. Yes also Daggerfall. I tried to install it, gave me a message to terminate just because it couldn't run full screen mode. I'll try to figger out how to install all this. Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 14:15, January 14, 2013 (UTC)
A message from the overlordEdit
Salve timeoin, I come to ask weather there are any pages to belonging to DLCs for Skyrim for I wish to know more about the Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC. While you are at my page answering me back, check out my character story on the profile page once or if you get the chance. Thanks.Fortune Payback (talk) 17:24, January 17, 2013 (UTC)Fortune Payback
Re: Your Blog Edit
- Np. Also - Jimeee's one is now more popular in terms of content. But hey - some folks may not see it. (Stranger things have happened) Timeoin•Say G'Day•View my work 20:18, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
Tim, it makes no sense to have two news stories about the beta on the main page - which I why I removed the "News" category from your blog. The main story can be updated with the podcast info if need be.
Also, we don't usually sign main page news posts with our name.
just wanna know Edit
um... i was wondering i have been banned for vandelizum and dont know what i did could you or someone tell me why?188.8.131.52 23:39, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
Hi, Timeoin. I just want to say thanks for your warm welcome to The Elder Scrolls Wiki. I highly appreciate it. Thank you for including such helpful links to guide me through the wiki. I look forward to contributing gaming information to help my fellow gamers. Having been officially on this site for two days, I have noticed a couple of problems with some wikis. My suggestion is to go back to some of the wikis that have not been editted for a while and making a couple of corrections. Some information I have been reading seem redundant, others don't even make sense (perhaps it's the grammar). I want to be able to help out with that. If you ever come across any erroneous pages, please do not hesitate to tell me and I will do my best to see that they are fixed. I understand it is a time consuming matter so I am volunteering so that you and other moderators do not have to do all the work. Once again, thank you.
Re:Blog Red Link Edit
- I made that blog post. Why don't you check it out yourself? ;D --The Old World Relics (talk/blog/contributions) 03:03, January 28, 2013 (UTC)

You may have seen Wikia's recently Alliances launch, which brings together a huge assortment of like-minded wikis around a certain genre of fiction: From Heroes, to Sci-Fi, to Fantasy. Signing up is a good way of promoting your awesome content and get access to some relevant notifications pertaining to the genre.
I wanted to reach out personally because I think the Elder Scrolls wiki would be a perfect fit for the Fantasy Alliance. You can learn more about the Alliances and sign-up here: http://www.wikia.com/Alliances. Hope this helps!
Good time of day to you. The wiki accuses me of committing vandalism; I have no idea why, since I haven't done such a thing ever in my life. Can you please investigate this issue? 184.108.40.206 19:57, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
- Hello. Would you be able to tell me which IP you were using at the time? (I can find nothing on the IP you just signed). Timeoin•Say G'Day•View my work 20:20, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
From a noob :) Edit
Hi, I just wanted to stop by for a few suggestions. I know I'm not an active editor, I don't really do as much as I'd like, but I'm going to try to help out in here as much as possible starting today. Anyways, I have a few things to say about these locked pages, a lot of them deserve to be locked, because the nformation within is just amazing, especially the Vampirism (Skyrim) page, just amazing information there. Having said that, there's quite a few locked pages that would require a lot of editing, I can't think of any off the top of my head, but that's not why I'm posting this. The locked pages really require someone going through them from time to time to notice any errors, mistakes, or misinformation, because I've seen a few that require this, and it sucks not to be able to edit them. If you could maybe see about having a group of people just go through the locked pages and do this, it would really help the reputation of the site, and protect it as well. Like I said, I know I don't edit a lot, but I'll try to in the future, this is just a little advice from an avid user of this sites information, thanks. FoolsBloodArcher 18:53, February 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Because Colons are rarely used in category names, like, ever. ;) Timeoin•Say G'Day•View my work 06:08, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
- I just tested: dashes still work, if we wanted to replace them with that. Or, just have them plain. I.e.
- "Morrowind Characters". That wouldn't work as well for things in multiple games, such as location that are in, say, hammerfell, but idk. Timeoin•Say G'Day•View my work 19:07, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
- I'm already in contact with Wikia about this, so let's not make any huge changes to the Morrowind categories until they've tried to resolve the issue. They're supposed to be working on some fixes within the next few days. I posted the message to Flightmare's talkpage. :) —TombRaiser SPEAK! 19:22, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
Serpent's Wake DoublesEdit
There are two pages for the ship "Serpent's wake," with the one titled with "the" in the name being more complete.

About that guild thingyEdit
I know for a fact that the German wiki (de:) is planning to start an 'official' TESWiki guild. If I recall correctly, User:G0LD3NF1RE and User:Commander Faol were about to do the same thing. But since I haven't heard from them in a while, I think we'd have to discuss roles, or rush the guild name in the beta, having one of us claim it. They have like 18 people who are interested in running a guild and it would be a loss when we lose the name to such a small group. As of the German nature, I don't think they have any interest in joining a larger international group. ~ Flightmare (talk) 14:10, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Possibilities of Transclusion Edit
Good day, sir! The various alchemical ingredients in Skyrim each have their own lists of "compatible" items for each potion effect they can produce. This looks like a potential source of error, since the information has to be entered each time. Even if the information is copied and pasted, any change – such as from a new add-on – might be applied inconsistently across the plethora of relevant articles.
To the point then: I saw another wiki that used a single "master list" in a similar situation. The relevant sections of this list were then transcluded onto the individual articles. The strength of this method is, of course, that any change to the master list will appear on every article where it has been transcluded. Do you think this sort of system would have potential for The Elder Scrolls Wiki?
– Lexmechanic (talk) 17:41, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
- There is a much more popular method through the usage of DPL. This is something we have taken in consideration, but haven't worked it out yet. This works the other way around, where the list pages pull their contents from their individual articles pages. ~ Flightmare (talk) 21:59, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Hi I was just wondering if you could update the wiki navigation's design and perhaps add a font to the headers of articles like on Survivor Wiki? -Ḡwẵine Ḹٍٍkƨ Ĺiĸe Ͼềлȑềd.
PS: I live in Australia too! I'm in Melbourne.
Hello, this is Murkywater2 (talk) 23:07, February 21, 2013 (UTC) just asking if I need permission to add myself to the mentors page. Just thought I would ask jsut in case. Please leave me a message at my talk page when you have the time. Thank You.
