Categories Edit

Heads up: you can just use Special:Whatlinkshere to find out what pages use the {{Quote}} template, so no need for a category for that. Likewise, we decided in a CT a few months back not to categorize NPCs based off their class, so no need for those categories either. —Atvelonis (talk) 18:03, February 11, 2017 (UTC)

P.S. really, only remove the {{Stub}} template if the ESO NPC article either has all of the NPC's dialogue, or the NPC has no dialogue and it is explained that they have no dialogue. Otherwise, readers have no idea if the article is missing info, or if an NPC actually has nothing to say. —Atvelonis (talk) 18:14, February 11, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Two things Edit

Thanks, hit 70k just now. Regarding the Online Pricing List page, are those numbers decided by players? If so, it might be a little difficult to keep the prices accurate over time. And wouldn't it also depend on the guild? (As you can likely guess, I hardly actually play ESO; I only have it to take screenshots). —Atvelonis (talk) 21:46, February 14, 2017 (UTC)

Makes sense. I might play around with the page formatting a bit, thinking about adding a table. The page looks like it could be pretty useful though, good idea adding that in the first place. —Atvelonis (talk) 02:21, February 15, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Blame AtveEdit

Yeah, I can put furnishings on the Homestead page, at least the ones i know of ATM, which are the ones you can get from the Crown Store. I'll get on it tomorrow. The Cat Master (talk) 04:23, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Well... I started work on a list of furnishings for the ESO player housing, and well... it turns out that I have my have my work cut out for me. There is a lot of stuff! This is a project that will take me a while. A couple weeks perhaps, if not more. When it is all said and done, I will end up giving the furnishing list its own page, though a summary with a link to it will need to be included somewhere in the Homestead (Online) page. The Cat Master (talk) 19:08, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Re: The ListEdit

Thanks for adding those items.:) After finding out just how much stuff there is, any help is appreciated. At first i figured that furnishings would be in bundles you can buy at the crown store. Wow... i had no idea.

You're right, if there are restrictions, that should be noted. I'll add another column for notes when i get back on it tomorrow. Cheers The Cat Master (talk) 03:28, February 23, 2017 (UTC)

I won't be able to work on it till tomorrow, so you can work on my sandbox if you want. I am also cool with you moving some tables to yours if you want. That may actually be a good idea to avoid edit conflicts if we happen to get on at the same time. Cheers The Cat Master (talk) 22:17, February 23, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, tomorrow in Texas time. I guess it is tomorrow now in the land down under isn't it? The Cat Master (talk) 22:51, February 23, 2017 (UTC)
I saw that you moved the Conservatory section, and made a good dent in it. Sweet!:) I will get to work on the next section in my sandbox later around late morning or noon my time. (Which i believe will be very early Saturday morning your time) Cheers. The Cat Master (talk) 03:47, February 24, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Minor ProblemEdit

I plan on playing ESO this weekend. I will see if i can confirm the CS prices then. I admit, i have been going to our competitor for info on the furnishings. The Cat Master (talk) 04:36, February 24, 2017 (UTC)

Conservatory FurnishingsEdit

I went ahead and moved the Conservatory Furnishings section to the Furnishings (Online) page. I think there may still be items missing, but I believe we have most. I have started work on the Courtyard Furnishings in my sandbox. The Cat Master (talk) 15:08, February 28, 2017 (UTC)

Stolen itemsEdit

Hei Tim. I noticed you started on the stolen items page. I was wondering if you would like any help on it. I finished the furnishings project today, and i have an idea for the SI. Since there are a lot of stolen items, I think each category will need its own page like I ended having to do with the homestead furnishings. I would also like to colour code the items like i did with the furnishing and omit the quality segment in the table. Cheers The Cat Master (talk) 04:38, April 13, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Broken Oblivion Template Edit

Well, there is story behind. :) I saw the Skyrim similar template was fixed and after cleaning non-portable infoboxes, I checked OblivionCharacters template for info, so I decided to fix it too. --Rupuzioks (talk) 10:41, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

Re:Stormfist StrikerEdit

Hey Tim,

That edit is pretty old so I was kinda lost as to what you meant at first. The edit itself is fine, minus the change Atvelonis made to it earlier. When we don't have the info for that stuff, we just remove the list stuff until we get the info, because it looks neater that way for the reader. Either way works, which is why I don't really do much of it anymore.

Thanks for the message mate, it shows you care. If you have anything else to ask feel free to send another message and I'll try to do what I can to help. Thanks m8, The_CrusaderTalkpage01:23:33 April 26, 2017_

Re: Sai's Affliction Edit

Heh, I just record it immediately after I get it. A couple of them are guesses, though. —Atvelonis (talk) 13:34, May 4, 2017 (UTC)

Hey Tim,

When you're adding a quote to an article, such as here, remember to add a source. Like this:

{{Quote|Move along.|Watchwoman Cirtelcare|The Elder Scrolls Online}}

Thanks!—CarloV3r (talk) 10:22, May 7, 2017 (UTC)

ESO CharactersEdit

Hey Tim, just wanted to remind you that we aren't using levels or health for ESO characters, so when you come across a character page which has it it would be great to take those off, or to not add any, since neither of them will be showing up in the infobox anyways. Thanks! - Kora Stormblade (talk) 02:42, May 9, 2017 (UTC)

Edit: Also, please stop adding CA nominations on articles which do not meet it standards and/or have never been nominated. It could probably confuse readers as to what our standards for Comprehensive Articles are. Thanks again. - Kora Stormblade (talk) 03:15, May 9, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Balmora Edit

I added the list of characters in Vvardenfell cities, like Ald'ruhn and Sadrith Mora, all the way back in February/March. I managed to get their names from the ESO Live Walkthrough video preview, a while before the Closed Beta was even announced. I will try to get Zenimax to allow us to post some Morrowind as part of their "Community Content Creators" program, with Atvelonis' help. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 01:22, May 12, 2017 (UTC)

Re: What's AnnoyingEdit

Hey Timeoin,

Hope you're having a great day. I'm sorry if the Lake Amaya (Online) page annoyed you. The (Improved) Emperor's Guide to Tamriel: Stonefalls and Deshaan talks about a Lake Amaya in Deshaan, so I assumed the other one was a different location. There is nothing wrong with a location having the same name as another one, just because something has the same name, doesn't mean they're the same thing. The two Ebonhearts are different settlements, and technically, the Ebonheart on the mainland is the original one since it appeared in Arena. --Vincentius1 (talk) 20:42, May 18, 2017 (UTC)

Hey don't worry about it. We all have our own pet peeves; it's just what makes us human. And by the way, you don't have to be so formal. We're all friends here, so just call me Vincent or whatever floats your boat. It was good talking with you man. --Vincentius1 (talk) 00:15, May 19, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Possible ProblemEdit

When they were building the Lodge, it was designed to be built on the Deshaan Lake Amaya, but they Christopher Columbus'd it and built it in a completely different location. They were then just like fuck it, so they kept the name and called the Lake in Vvardenfell, Lake Amaya. And that's why it's called the Amaya Lake Lodge. --Vincentius1 (talk) 00:41, May 23, 2017 (UTC)

Re: ESO Characters Edit

The issue I had with Online: Morrowind: Characters or whatever is the double colon (kind of confusing). Though I agree that ESO Morrowind isn't much better; it was only chosen because it goes without that second colon. It's what Rim suggested, and he and Carlo have a bunch of stuff formatted that way already. If we need to change it all I can just use the bot, but the important part is that all ESO: Morrowind stuff is categorized the same way. So whatever we go with (Vvardenfell, ESO Morrowind, Online: Morrowind, etc.), it has to all be the same. I'm sort of occupied right now and I'm not the one adding Morrowind content in the first place (that would be Carlo and Rim, again), so I don't have a vested interest in it one way or the other. —Atvelonis (talk) 13:51, May 24, 2017 (UTC)

Hey Tim, I noticed that lately you've been adding a few images which don't really meet the standards (i.e. not being full body images, contain UI, etc.). If for some reason you can't make these meet our standards, then at least make sure you add an {{ImageImprove}} template on the article it is on, as well as an {{Imagequality}} template on the image itself. Thanks! - Kora Stormblade (talk) 01:34, June 1, 2017 (UTC)

Creating More User PagesEdit

Hi, Timeoin

This is gonna sound like a rookie question but, what do you have to do to create project pages or whatever it's called. Like how you have ones for ESO Books or Legends stuff. I'm asking because I want to do one for the Novels but I feel like creating a page for that is different than making an ordinary one. Do I just create a page like normal and just call it User:Vincentius1/Infernal City or do I have to do something different. Thanks! --Vincentius1 (talk) 22:05, June 3, 2017 (UTC)

Oh okay, I don't know why I was being paranoid about that. Thanks for the tip. --Vincentius1 (talk) 22:13, June 3, 2017 (UTC)

Re: If it Helps Edit

Yes, I am aware of that category, I created it today because it showed need to create. I learned these from Special:Unusedimages. --Rupuzioks (talk) 11:43, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

Don't worry, I am actually clearing that special page, so this is why I am creating pages to add all those images and audio if needed. --Rupuzioks (talk) 11:48, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

Instant Expert for ESO Morrowind Edit

Heya :) Just wanted to let you know that we've again partnered with Bethesda to create a special page about ESO -- this time about the new Morrowind expansion. It'll follow exactly the same design conventions as we used on the Super Walkthrough:The Elder Scrolls Online page. As your admin team requested last time, it'll be tucked away in its own namespace. The pagename will be Instant Expert:ESO Morrowind. I'll have it up in about an hour, so please be sure to drop by today and take a look! If you have any suggestions for improvement, please let me know! Thanks! -- CzechOut @fandom 17:30, June 6, 2017 (UTC)

This has now been put up and given some good review by CarloV3r. If you get time, please take a hard look at the page and make sure things are linking the way you think makes most sense! Thanks! -- CzechOut @fandom 18:53, June 6, 2017 (UTC)

ESO Morrowind Book StuffEdit

Hey Tim,

Noticed you made a book page called Cogitation Log 1322331455212478, which didn't have any of the book's content on the page. I found the words on the imperial library but I was wondering if you created any more pages like that. I would look myself but I'm a very lazy person. Since you're still editing, I'd be perfectly fine with adding the content myself, unless you want to. Thanks in advance, The_CrusaderTalkpage06:55:03 June 08, 2017_

Its okay. I'll try to find them all in the Imperial Library. I've got a lot going on as usual so I'm not sure how much I'll get done but I'll work on it. The_CrusaderTalkpage07:32:39 June 08, 2017_

Interwiki switching Edit

Good day, Timeoin!

I ask you to rewrite interwiki links from the Ukrainian wiki, because there were disagreements on the basis of the national background of the administration and also on the basis of the wiki policy. I understand that they are bigger than us, but nevertheless I ask you to consider rewriting to the Ukrainian wiki, where adhere to a more neutral point of view.

Thank you in advance! Sincerely, Toru Hasegawa.

Hi Toru, could you provide some more background on what's happening with the two Ukrainian wikis? We can't make a decision like that without having access to the specific claims made and the evidence to back it up. Thanks. —Atvelonis (talk) 22:02, June 17, 2017 (UTC)
Good day, Atvelonis!
I provide links to number of threads that report that the administration of this project isn't tactful has national bias as well as number of conflicts where helpers were implicated because of illegal blocking, users of the Ukrainian portal and ordinary users. This is a small part of what happened between users of our wiki. The Russian wiki (some users with and without statuses) were also involved in conflicts because of these administrators, so some admins agree to start lobbying the reconnect interwiki if the English project does it.

Hi Toru, I've discussed this with the other administrators and we're very hesitant to get involved in disputes like this. I understand your point of view, but I don't speak any Ukrainian, so I can't exactly check through articles on each wiki myself to verify if one is genuinely less biased than the other. All I really have to go off is your statements and the article count and activity of each wiki.
The uk.elderscrolls wiki has about 1200 pages, which is three times as many as the uk.tes wiki, and seems to be somewhat more active. As such, I'm reluctant to switch all of our interwiki links to the uk.tes wiki, at least at this time. If you can make the uk.tes wiki noticeably better than the uk.elderscrolls wiki in terms of article size and correctness, then we would be much more likely to change the links.
I'm sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for, but we can't really handle this any other way. If what you are saying about the administrators on the uk.elderscrolls wiki is true, it may be worth your time to contact Wikia about removing them from their positions. Thanks. —Atvelonis (talk) 15:50, June 19, 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. We have previously considered this, but decided that it is better to develop our project and then close them as a project where there are many inaccuracies.

RE: Alliance War Edit

Hey Tim,

Now that you said that, there's something I have to mention. For example, on our wiki pages for the three alliances we quite clearly use the references to their site -- which were the guides. Since those pages are removed from ESO's site, those references are rendered, well, kind of useless.

So should we add the guides themselves to the wiki? Or update the references so they link to the facebook page instead of their former location on the ESO site?Or something?

Would like to know your pov on this, Blademaster Jauffre (talk) 22:49, June 17, 2017 (UTC)

Adding a new categoryEdit

Greetings! I wonder why is there no category "Online: Beggars" for those NPCs that ask the Vestige to donate money. Although they are not the beggars as in previous game series (they suffered some damage to their houses, got attacked or have some other problem) but I think that they need their own category too. The page with the name "Online: Beggars" was deleted sometime ago so I don't know, should I recreate it or not.

Recent EditsEdit

Hey Tim,

I was wondering about your recent edits. I noticed that you are replacing all of the soul gem stuff with "Soul Gem (Online)|Soul Gem" (linked oc) and I was wondering how does it work now ingame? Unless they've somehow become useless, I don't think everything will just be 'soul jem?'

Have fun! Edit

I just heard of your stepping down and i want to thank you for all your contributions and service to improving the wiki. It wouldnt be in the position it is today without your leadership!

To remove your bureaucrat flag, just remove the checkmark next to bureaucrat on Special:UserRights/Timeoin. Unless you cant, in which case, youd need to email wikia staff to have them removed.

So long, and have fun doing whatever you plan on doing in the future! --Sajuuk 23:25, August 24, 2017 (UTC)
