Image categorization[edit source]

Hi, thanks for your edits recently. Just a heads up, when you upload a screenshot from in-game, you should generally tag it with the appropriate licensing template. It's often best to not click anything on the licensing drop-down tab, and instead just use the relevant template like {{OnlineBookImages}}, as this includes both {{Zenimage}} as well as the proper category. I have some examples of full licensing summaries that you can paste into the box here. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! —Atvelonis (talk) 17:16, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

Source editor[edit source]

Hi, good work with the ESO content. I have a quick request: on some of your edits you've been making some formatting errors with the lead. I'm pretty sure this is not intentional, and is actually just a bug with Wikia's VisualEditor. To get around this I would recommend you switch your preferred editor in Special:Preferences to the "Source editor," as it is much less prone to this kind of bug. I personally believe it also gives you a better understanding of editing in general. The markup may seem a little confusing at first but it's not that hard to learn. I have a guide here if you're ever unsure how to do something. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! —Atvelonis (talk) 22:12, April 6, 2018 (UTC)

Hello! I have not noticed that setting in preferences (although, I mostly use source editor). Thanks for the hint. TinyClayMan (talk) 12:36, April 7, 2018 (UTC)

Character images[edit source]

Hello again, good work as always. When you upload an image of an NPC, it should be cropped to a 3:5 aspect ratio, such as 456×760, 600×1000, 648×1080, etc., depending on your monitor resolution. The way to tell if it's the correct ratio is to divide the smaller (horizontal) number by the larger (vertical) number; if it comes out to exactly 0.6 then it's the correct size. I have a guide explaining this here, for reference. Thanks. —Atvelonis (talk) 19:03, April 8, 2018 (UTC)

Just a note, images of non-humanoid creatures such as this don't have to be 3:5. That only applies to characters that resemble humans. —Atvelonis (talk) 00:44, April 13, 2018 (UTC)

Re: Template[edit source]

You're right, I think this set falls under all three categories. I've updated the page. Thanks for the correction. —Atvelonis (talk) 15:50, April 9, 2018 (UTC)

Re: Notable items section[edit source]

I tend to place Skyshards at the top of the list because most/all players are looking for them, since they give you skill points when collected. Somewhat fewer players are interested in collecting books, because most of them are just notes that don't do anything. So making the Skyshard more visible is preferable in this situation.

Using these dashes instead of parentheses usually makes it a little easier for readers to visually pick apart the item from its location. I plan on updating all the ESO location pages (not just one region) to use this format with AkulakhanBot, but I have some other bot tasks to do first. For now if you see any pages with the parentheses you should change it to the "en dash" (–) to be consistent.

And while I remember, if you're adding the sublocations of a town to an article, they should usually be listed before the quests, with notable items just under quests. The style guideline on locations can be found here, for future reference. —Atvelonis (talk) 20:14, April 9, 2018 (UTC)

Quest lists[edit source]

Hey TinyClayMan, when you're listing quests on a location article they are typically recorded with H3 headers (===) so that users can write a relatively substantial description underneath. Many of our pages are simply missing these descriptions. On character articles this is also done, but the H2 header (==) is "Interactions" instead of "Quests." Thanks. —Atvelonis (talk) 16:33, April 14, 2018 (UTC)

Also note that when discussing a quest in an article, you should format it "[[Dream-Walk Into Darkness]]" instead of simply [[Dream-Walk Into Darkness]], per SF:QUEST. This is to differentiate it between a book, which is in italics. This is not done for the H3 quest names in the quest lists though. —Atvelonis (talk) 16:36, April 14, 2018 (UTC)

Dash usage[edit source]

Hi, this is a bit pedantic, but when you're doing something like this the correct dash to use to separate the character's name from the info to its right is actually the en dash (–) rather than the hyphen (-), though this is not to be confused with the longer em dash (—). Thanks. —Atvelonis (talk) 00:43, April 23, 2018 (UTC)

Uploads[edit source]

Hi, a few uploads of yours seem not to have gone through, presumably because of the maintenance that Wikia was doing the other day, or whatever that was. Would you mind reuploading the following images?

Thanks! —Atvelonis (talk) 21:22, May 9, 2018 (UTC)

Done. TinyClayMan (talk) 22:39, May 9, 2018 (UTC)

Crown store[edit source]

Would you be interested in working on the Crown Store page, and CS content pages. These have been my main projects here since 2015, but I have RL going on, and can't do much more than check the RC and VIP as of late. I'm asking you because I have been noticing your work, and I believe you could make a good successor. That project was my baby. If you're interested, please respond. If you're not interested, then you can ignore this message. Cheers The Cat Master (talk) 09:14, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

No problem, I understand. Cheers The Cat Master (talk) 21:29, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

Test[edit source]

Per your request. Starkiller131 (talk) 18:57, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

Psijic Map[edit source]

Hi, I would like to know what's problem here. Are you working on this page at the same time? --FrisyN (talk) 16:57, July 27, 2018 (UTC)

It wasn't necessary. I had prepared those pictures for creating those pages. It's wasting my time to work on pages which are already done while I'm watching connected informations. Not everyone it that fast as you. --FrisyN (talk) 18:36, July 27, 2018 (UTC)

Re: Categories[edit source]

I apologise, I see where I was wrong. I will try to fix that as soon as possible. And thank you for responding. Dwemer35 (talk) 03:28, August 12, 2018 (UTC)

Treasures missing images[edit source]

I noticed that you add the other image to the list:

  • All of these treasures miss image.
  • Stilted Dices needs to be add to the list.

Re: Gear images categories[edit source]

Hiya TinyClayMan,

Agreed, Atvelonis has put his bot on it!—CarloV3r (talk) 20:30, April 16, 2019 (UTC)

Re: Occupation categories[edit source]

Hello, yes, my bad. I just saw that only one page was in each one of the wanted categories, so I just removed them. I just added the base "Online" categories for now. --Rupuzioks (talk) 19:52, May 17, 2020 (UTC)
