Re: Chat Notices Edit

We added that a while back, so I'm a little fuzzy on the details. That said, I'm fairly certain it isn't related to any sort of dev wiki script. It's mentioned on Help:Chat and Help:System messages/whitelist, so I think it's an official thing. You should be able to edit the text from MediaWiki:Chat-entry-point-guidelines on your own wiki; by default I think it's left empty. Give that a shot, I guess. —Atvelonis (talk) 03:40, December 2, 2016 (UTC)

That’s for your help!

(Typed this before I saw that Atv replied, sorry if it's a little weird worded, and even moreso sorry if you got your answer on the help page first)
Hello, hope you're doing good,
I noticed in chat that you asked how to edit the chat module (or, as you named it, chat notice. It can work either way I guess.) Would have answered but didn't check chat before you left. Sorry about that.
Anyway, for your actual answer, you edit the notice by going to "MediaWiki:Chat-entry-point-guidelines" on your wiki. That'd be here on this wiki, for instance. If you need help with anything else about it, just let me know. I'm not as knowledgeable as Flightmare, however, I can answer a lot of your more basic questions.
Thanks, and have a good day (or night) The_CrusaderTalkpage03:44:33 December 02, 2016_
I’ll hold you to it haha. Thanks for the help, even if it’s late. Now that I know what that page is called I think I can research the customizations elsewhere (I thought it was some sort of mod or CSS & that’s why I couldn’t find it). I’m pretty sure I’m all set, thanks for the speedy responses @Atvelonis & @Flightmare. Good night.

Re: Highlighted thread Edit

Perhaps it's just not displaying, but I don't see anything wrong with the formatting of your comment? The thread looks fine to me. —Atvelonis (talk) 20:22, April 13, 2017 (UTC)

Apologies, I talked to Carlo in chat & we got it sorted out; it’s a recurring bug that occasionally distorts the thread into inoperability. I would’ve taken down the message but I forgot. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Not a problem, glad it was sorted out. —Atvelonis (talk) 03:53, April 14, 2017 (UTC)

Re:Disposition QuestionEdit

Hi Ursuul,

First question:
Yes, if you can find out how a certain quest influences your disposition towards the questgiver, or any other relevant character, (preferably an exact number) that would be terrific. I'm guessing it can be found in the construction kit. I've got some CK experience, but I've never looked into quests, so I can't tell you exactly where to find it. It'd be good to have that in both the reward section of the infobox though, and underneath the reward header on the quest article in question. Second question:
Yes, a stub template can be removed if you're absolutely certain all relevant info is present on the article. We're relatively strict on it, though. If dialogue and quotes aren't present on a character article, for example, it classifies as a stub. Hope that helped, —CarloV3r (talk) 08:58, April 24, 2017 (UTC)

As I currently don’t have my TV I can’t go in to check & get a 100% accurate number, but I do remember a lot because I played Skyrim to death. I remember that after Find Runil's Journal is completed it does allow you to take miscellaneous items from the Hall of Arkay in Falkreath, & I can also cross-reference information from UESP to be more certain. As soon as I get my TV I believe there’s a mod that you can use to open dialogue with a person & check their disposition, so once I have that I can do before/after tests to get exact numbers for you without bothering with CK.

However there is a small problem. After reading about the SkyrimQuests Infobox, it doesn’t appear that it has a disposition parameter. As infoboxes are very important templates, I’d rather not add in any fields unless you OK it, so may I add a field for character disposition resulting quest completions?

I personally like the idea, but I'll talk to some other staffmembers about it and get their input on it. I'm currently at work though, so it'll have to wait for a couple of hours, if you don't mind.—CarloV3r (talk) 09:22, April 24, 2017 (UTC)
Not at all, I should go to sleep soon anyway. Take your time, I’ll follow the template in the meantime so I can see if changes go though.

I don't have an issue with this, disposition is pretty useful information. I can't remember how to find it in the Creation Kit off the top of my head, but I can try to figure it out once I get home. Flightmare should be able to write a script for KINMUNE to automatically add the disposition parameter to the infoboxes themselves, though the actual data will have to be added manually.
As for stubs, basically what Carlo said. Generally I will only remove the stub template from a page if I have added all of the dialogue and general information (such as quest interactions) related to it, so for more important NPCs or quests that can be a little difficult. All of it can be found in the CK, though. —Atvelonis (talk) 18:03, April 24, 2017 (UTC)
