Re: Good articles Edit

Hi Vainyth, thanks for the message. Anyone can nominate an article for "Good" status on the project page. If you scroll to the bottom and click the button "Nominate an Article," it should come up with a structure for you to nominate a page. Just fill in the details about the page you're nominating, and make sure it meets the requirements beforehand. Then place {{GAnom}} at the top of the article itself.

Once you nominate it, there is supposed to be a comment period where editors describe things about the page that they think might make it ineligible for GA status (there may or may not be any issues). After that, they are supposed to cast votes in favor of or against the nomination. It might take a week or two, so don't be impatient haha. Let me know if you have any more questions. —Atvelonis (talk) 18:59, December 10, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks Atvelonis!

WikiaVideos Edit

Hey Vainyth, just so you know, we use the {{WikiaVideos}} template on articles that have videos produced by the company (like on Daedric Quests (Skyrim)). Since we (editors/local staff) have zero control over the content of these videos, and because they are often kind of inaccurate, we need to let readers know that the content in them should not be held to the same standards as the encyclopedia itself. So the little notices at the top of articles with those videos should remain. —Atvelonis (talk) 15:58, December 19, 2018 (UTC)

Raffle prize Edit

Hi Vainyth. Congratulations on being a raffle winner! As explained on the thread, your prize will be a 36×23 in (92×60 cm) poster with this artwork celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls. There will be no expenses on your part. In order to get your prize to you, I'm just going to need some shipping details, which will be kept absolutely confidential. If you'd like to accept your prize, please join the wiki's Discord server and send me a direct message (Atvelonis#9495). Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, and happy editing! —Atvelonis (talk) 19:13, August 2, 2019 (UTC)

Hey—just wanted to check in. Are you available on Discord to work out the last mile here, or would you prefer a different platform? If you don't want to accept a prize after all, please let me know so that I can get it to someone else. —Atvelonis (talk) 19:44, August 6, 2019 (UTC)
That's fine. How about you send me an email at teswikiatvelonis@gmail.com and we'll get the details hashed out? —Atvelonis (talk) 21:42, August 8, 2019 (UTC)

New articles Edit

Hello, good work on the new articles, it's just that we do not allow the plagiarism from UESP. If you can it would be great if you write them in your own words. Thanks. --Rupuzioks (talk) 11:06, September 1, 2019 (UTC)

Mabrigash pageEdit

Hi Vainyth, thank you for your contributions lately! Regarding your page "Mabrigash (Lore)", I have to let you know that it has been marked for deletion since after a moot decision, we no longer have pages named in such a manner, since the disambiguation pages will act as a lore page. In this case, the page you'd want to add all this info is the Mabrigash page, however it seems that the paragraph you added is only about the tribe in The Elder Scrolls Online? Because of this, for now, I have moved the paragraph in the Mabrigash Tribe page.

Something to look out for when writing lore pages, you must always include sources on everything you say, no exceptions. It is also important to get all your info straight from the game source, and not rely on other places like UESP for it. Even if what you write is altered slightly, it's still something you took from someone else, and it may be filled with errors. Even if that isn't the case though, this is something you mustn't do, as it paints the wiki in a bad light.

If you have any questions regarding how a lore page must be structured, I will be happy to help you out. Otherwise, you can head to our Discord server and ask in the appropriate channels (it's also way easier to find me there!). Rozty (talk) 15:36, December 29, 2019 (UTC)
