Utheilla Direnni was one of many famous members of the Direnni Bloodline.[1]

Married to Emperor Magnus Septim, Utheilla bore two children by him, Jolethe and Pelagius Septim III.[2] Both of her children ascended to the office of ruler. Pelagius became Emperor of Cyrodiil, while Jolethe became a Queen of Solitude on 8th of Second Seed, 3E 145.[3] Cassynder, her Dunmeri grandson, also became Emperor.[4] Other sources claim that Utheilla was not, in fact, the mother of Pelagius III.[5][UL 1][note 1]

Former designer and writer for Bethesda Softworks Ted Peterson explains that The Madness of Pelagius is incorrect, and Hellena is Pelagius' mother. If true, this would also mean that Cassynder Septim would not be Utheilla's grandson.
