Volendrung is a weapon in The Elder Scrolls Online. This weapon is part of the Treasures of the Earthforge item set.

Chaos Magic[]
Sheogorath offers to let the Vestige "borrow" Volendrung in Cheesemonger's Hollow to use in the Alliance War.
Cyrodiil[]
On occassion, Volendrung may appear in Cyrodiil, where it can be obtained by a player. Upon obtaining Volendrung, the player will be marked on the map with an image of the weapon in the color of their Alliance. Should the person wielding Volendrung die, the map marker of the weapon remains, only blanked out.
After a certain period of time, Volendrung will also kill the player wielding it, after which it can be obtained by other players. The original wielder can also return to the weapon and attempt to claim it again. Eventually Volendrung will also return to Oblivion, removing it from the battlefield.

Volendrung replaces the abilities on the player's ability bar with a couple of abilities unique to the weapon.
