Volendrung is a two-handed warhammer and Daedric artifact present in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Location
It is received from the Daedric Prince Malacath as a reward for completing the quest "The Cursed Tribe".
Notes
- Volendrung has an attack speed of 1 per second like a two-handed sword instead of 0.75 like a regular war hammer.
- Volendrung was also present in Oblivion and Morrowind.
- Due to the Stamina absorb effect, melee characters can continuously Power Attack until the weapon is drained.
- Guards will sometimes say "What do you intend to do with that hammer? Knock down a House?"
- They may also say "(Whistle) That's one big hammer."
- May be seen often in a loading screen right after the player acquires it
- Volendrung is a Dwemer warhammer and appears in their mythology many times, and is also responsible for the name of the region, "hammerfell".
