- The Wamasu appears to be based on the Bunyip, from Aboriginal mythology. This even makes sense of their territory, Black Marsh.[source?]
- The Wamasu's eggs can be seen in locations such as Haynekhtnamet's Lair, as a very bright blue circular egg, but cant be interacted with.
