A year is a measure of time which lasts 360 days in the games of Arena and Daggerfall, and 364 days in all later games. There are 12 months in a year:

Morning Star[]

Morning Star is the first of the 12 months in Tamriel. It is considered to be a Winter month as well as the first month of the year.

Sun's Dawn[]

Sun's Dawn is the second month of the year. It is also considered the last Winter month.

First Seed[]

First Seed is the third month of the year. It is the initial month of the Spring season.

Rain's Hand[]

Rain's Hand is the fourth month of the year. It is the second month of Spring.

Second Seed[]

Second Seed is the fifth month of the year. It is also the final month of Spring.

Mid Year[]

Mid Year is the sixth month of the year. As the name suggests, it occurs halfway through the year. It is also the first month of Summer.

Sun's Height[]

Sun's Height is the seventh month of the Elder Scrolls calendar. It is the second month of Summer.

Last Seed[]

Last Seed is the eighth month of the calendar. It is the final month of the Summer season.

Hearthfire[]

Hearthfire is the ninth month of the calendar. It is the first month of Autumn.

Frostfall[]

Frostfall is the tenth month of the calendar. It is the second month of Autumn.

Sun's Dusk[]

Sun's Dusk is the eleventh month of the calendar. It is the final month of Autumn.

Evening Star[]

Evening Star is the twelfth and final month of the Elder Scrolls calendar. It is the first month of Winter.
