Yngling's Ledger is a Thieves Guild quest given by Gentleman Jim Stacey. It is the second quest connected with the Bal Molagmer, an almost forgotten group of Thieves who stole from the unjust to give to the needy.
Background[]
Gentleman Jim Stacey of the Thieves Guild asks the Nerevarine to find proof of Yngling Half-Troll's corruption. In order to do so, they are to steal his ledger from inside his manor.
Objectives[]
- Speak with Gentleman Jim Stacey while wearing the Bal Molagmer gloves.
- Steal Yngling's Ledger from Yngling Manor.
- Return to Gentleman Jim Stacey while wearing the Bal Molagmer gloves.
Walkthrough[]
After completing the quest "The Hlervu Locket," when the Nerevarine approaches Gentleman Jim Stacey while wearing the Bal Molagmer gloves, he will task them with bringing proof that Yngling Half-Troll is corrupt. He will ask for Yngling's Ledger.
Head to Yngling Manor, which is located in the plaza of St. Olms Canton. The ledger is in the basement, on the table next to the cage with rats. There will be some blighted rats in the cage, but if you keep the door locked, you will not have to worry about them. The door to the basement is locked, so bring a few lockpicks. If you have previously finished the House Hlaalu quest "Exterminator," the door to the basement will be unlocked and the blighted rats will be dead, meaning you can just come in and grab the ledger. There is no one in the basement, so you will not get a bounty or be kicked from House Hlaalu when you take the ledger.
Once you have the ledger, return it to Gentleman Jim Stacey.
Alternatively, you can also give the ledger to Yngling Half-Troll, who will immediately destroy it. After you choose to do this, return to Jim Stacey and tell him that the ledger is gone.
Reward[]
- No reward is given to the Nerevarine for the completion of this quest.
